If they follow the trend of the last few years you're probably right. I don't remember anything mindblowing coming out in the first half of January these last few years.

I guess they release "meh" or "okay-ish" games for a while knowing that their customers didn't have time to refill their pockets emptied at the Winter Sale and Christmas season as a whole. (Which is just fine to me because I usually have to deal with some heavier annual bills hitting this month.)
