I assume that it's still coming and that we might see its return in concert with a big sale or some other major event, so as to draw attention to it.

BmB: Mixes like "Games that treat GOG users as second class citizens" were really good for detecting anti-consumer practices from a glance at the store page. I have to wonder if this isn't part of why they have been removed, years of work maintaining those lists flatly deleted. Simply to please publishers and keep buyers confused and buying multiple copies.
Oh please, there's no need for silly theories like that. They simply did it because GOG Bear told them to.

Posting from the dark future year of 2020. Still, no GOG mixes insight. Still no official word.

Still not back as of May 2020.

I still miss 'em.

More often than not, I keep remembering the one that listed games you can play with the mouse in one hand and a beer in another.

Yes... they also removed Linko because he was too popular. Can't have either in GOG's "I'm-reinventing-myself-and-shooting-my-fans"-phase...

I'd have liked to been told ahead of time so i could save my gogmix, which i have linked on my impressions/favorite games...

Actually i'd rather if they just archived the gog mixes and made them read-only rather than delete them.

Oh well... can't do anything about it now.

Whoever was supposedly looking for some sort of replacement for them needs a better flashlight... Then again, what I gathered at the time was that said replacement was going to follow the template of those "collections", so basically custom searches with no additional information, sorting or way to weed out titles that match a title meant to be included entirely (such as sequels or DLCs, but at times even entirely different games), and therefore be no replacement at all even so.

2022 and no mixes. Lets be honest - they don't care that we want it back. They would rather tell you what games to buy than have you or other users make that decision.

That was a given all along.
And now see this thread being closed for necroing...

They fixed the purple notification dot at least. Now if only they could do something about the insane downrep going on. So much red everywhere.. Crazy :). Cheers

I started and maintained that mix for roughly 4 years, so thank you for the kind words! And yes, that would be the most likely explanation, especially considering how the official explanation ("It was an outdated feature, lol!") was a bunch of baloney. As I never tire of pointing out, you could edit and adjust gogmixes on the fly, or even outright delete the whole thing. All of those features still haven't been implemented in the review section, so even the ancient gogmixes were miles ahead in terms of functionality.
Gog killed a feature that was interesting. It was a way to discover some games, previously unheard of.
But, we all know Gog's staff can't code, so, yeah, nothing new here.
