I assume that it's still coming and that we might see its return in concert with a big sale or some other major event, so as to draw attention to it.

BmB: Mixes like "Games that treat GOG users as second class citizens" were really good for detecting anti-consumer practices from a glance at the store page. I have to wonder if this isn't part of why they have been removed, years of work maintaining those lists flatly deleted. Simply to please publishers and keep buyers confused and buying multiple copies.
Oh please, there's no need for silly theories like that. They simply did it because GOG Bear told them to.

I still miss 'em.

More often than not, I keep remembering the one that listed games you can play with the mouse in one hand and a beer in another.

Yes... they also removed Linko because he was too popular. Can't have either in GOG's "I'm-reinventing-myself-and-shooting-my-fans"-phase...

I'd have liked to been told ahead of time so i could save my gogmix, which i have linked on my impressions/favorite games...

Actually i'd rather if they just archived the gog mixes and made them read-only rather than delete them.

Oh well... can't do anything about it now.

Whoever was supposedly looking for some sort of replacement for them needs a better flashlight... Then again, what I gathered at the time was that said replacement was going to follow the template of those "collections", so basically custom searches with no additional information, sorting or way to weed out titles that match a title meant to be included entirely (such as sequels or DLCs, but at times even entirely different games), and therefore be no replacement at all even so.
