Hmmm Dustforce DX and I believe Retro City Rampage DX was also a free update :)

wolfsite: Owners of Darksiders II got a free copy of Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition
Correction: Darksiders II, the DLC pack here on GOG, and Darksiders I :)
MIND: Path to Thalamus Enhanced Edition was a free update and the original version is still available as a bonus download :)

227: Didn't Ethan Carter have its redux version show up here, too?
Yes, it did :)

PaterAlf: We often trash developers who don't keep their GOG versions up-to-date or who charge owners of a game again for extended versions, HD upgrades or who want money for minuscule DLCs.

But there are also developers and publishers who care for their customers, who still patch and extend their games and who give away upgrades and additional levels or DLCs for free.

I think it's time to honor these developers with a GOGmix:

http://www.gog.com/mix/games_that_got_addtional_content_for_free_after_release

So if anyone wants to help me with this mix, please write down in thread which games got additional content after release. I'm mostly looking for gameplay content and free major upgrades, but I may also include free soundtracks, novellas, artbooks and similar stuff.

Games included in the mix so far:

Among the Sleep
Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition
Ether One Redux
Outcast 1.1
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Unmechanical Extended
Valdis Story: Abyssal City
Quick correction: the old DLC version is still available for those who purchased the DLC version of Shadowrun: Dragonfall :)

PaterAlf: I edited the GOGmix to point that out.

Do you know if the original version of Divinity: Original Sin is still available for those who bought the game before the upgrade?
Yes but only those people who bought the game PRIOR to the update will have this version, kind of like the DLC version of Dragonfall being available to those who purchased the DLC before the update to a standalone version :)
The Escapists owners received the Fhurst DLC for free on GOG.com not too long ago :)

I believe all the old EA games got their expansions after release, unless I am mistaken except perhaps the Ultimas.

Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, Magic Carpet (been a while since this one...)...
Odallus: The Dark Call just recently got the Veteran Mode added for free :)

And I believe that the Origins DLC for Starpoint Gemini 2 was added to the game after its initial release :)

PaterAlf: Thank you to everybody who reported games so far. Will continue to update the GOGmix tomorrow.
Heroes of Might & Magic II Gold got the Windows version of the game as an added bonus later.

Not sure if this counts but Call of Cthulhu: Prisoner of Ice got the UK-voiced version (thank you banjo_oz!) and the Brazilian-Portuguese version (obrigado Karnak1 !) after release. Although if we were to add every game that got a language version after its initial release, this would make for a rather lengthy GOG Mix so it's up to you, PaterAlf, on what you consider to be worthy to be added :)

PaterAlf: I just realized that the title of my GOGmix sas "Games that got addtional content for free after release" and that I can't fix the typo, becaus I've already reached the character limit.

Any good ideas for a title change?
"extra" always works :)

Sachys: "Games that got addtional content for free POST release"
"Games that got extra content for free post release" is what I'd recommend :)

@PaterAlf, let me know if you'd like the title changed to what I suggested :)

PaterAlf: I'm not completely sure. Is "post release" really better than "after release"?
Either way is fine :)
Punch Club received additional content for free in the Dark Fist update :)

Galak-Z got The Void DLC for free :)

KoreaBeat: After you install and register your game, at the main menu screen there is a prompt that lets you download free, new content, like the Mr. Sacks and Rose Market content.

PaterAlf: One last question before I add it to the mix: Is it content that is created by the devs or user-created content?

Sorry, but I don't own the game and so I can't check it myself.
Developer created :)
