Just Another Wallet: GOG refused to sell the game according to Eurogamer PT.

Edit: Image attached with dev reply to a user asking if GOG was interested in distributing the game.
Political correctness strikes again.

Kardwill: But games where you play an asshole or a monster do exist. It's not a concept that revolutionary ;)
Of course it isn't. Games like Harvester or DreamWeb went into those territories long ago, but I find there's still a lot of untapped potential in this sort of thing.
so no DRM free version of it? :(

That's interesting. I wonder what the reason was.

are they not selling it on their own website? Just because it is not on gOg does not mean it will not be sold DRM free elsewhere.

And I would like to know why they rejected Sunrider : Liberation Day, but they never tell, and I understand why. That wouldn't be very professional.

You still have Desura.

GoG.com you disappoint me! Actually I am disappointed in myself for spending money on a moral police games distribution platform... who knew.

btw, hypocrisy right here....

Common GOG, don't be scared of overly sensitive people complaining. They already hate you for Witcher 3, so selling Hatred won't do anything to further that.

Well that is part of the problem; if they release it here the people who aren't offended are still going to complain because it's a shitty game. :P
Actually, I must say that I would not have bought that game, even on discounted, or even dowloaded it if free (not an exception, there's already a couple of free games on gog that i haven't claimed because of lack of interest).

BUT, whether that game was released here or not i WOULD have paid for the movie of the discussions about it within the gog company itself. I am really curious of how it was being discussed, whether there was internal disagreements, if it was discussed in a humourous or serious tone, what arguments were weighted, if it was a close call or an obvious decision, etc... The questions around this game (NOT the game itself and NOT the whining of the frustrated crowd who have decided that suchj stuff is their dream game and that they will slice their wrists if it doesn't come on gog and NOT the knee-jerk outrage of those who would have burned down gog if it was released - but i mean, the actual discussions on the pros and cons and the criterions and threshold of acceptability) would have been very amusing to follow.

And I am super curious about them.

Heck, I'm even curious about myself. Why exactly my own range of interest (or reach of sympathy) draws a line between that game (with rapelay, etc) and, say, carmageddon, lucius, gta and sid meier's pirates.
I forgot that this game was a thing, and kind of surprised GOG denied it (despite the fact that they already have violent stuff here to begin with).
Cmon gog, just release Hatred here, there's no problem, you hate money or something?
