Seriously, people. This has gone too far. If this store thinks they are the place for people to pick up MAUI MALLARD and other rancid, terrible versions of extremely mediocre console platformers and NOT WIZARDRY, well, then it's not the store for me anymore.

I will be picking up Wizardry on Humble Bundle where I get BOTH a DRM-FREE version AND a Steam code for it.

I'm seriously dissapointed. GOG sucks

But apparently it's the store for me, since I'd much rather have great looking classic fun games like Maui Mallard than some shitty creepy anime looking crap I never even heard of.

And of course the next time GOG does release some ugly japanese game I have no interest in we will switch places. We're captive on the carousel of time...

Unpopular opinion here, but considering how much those newer installments have deviated from the series' original Western RPG roots (aesthetically as well as in other departments) I think GoG's curation has made the right call for once.

Wait, that's supposed to be the same Wizardry? I honestly would never even have guessed that.
Called it.

What's the excuse here? Many XSeed releases and several Wizardry releases. What is the fucking excuse for this? "We're too big for you now."? Jesus Christ on a crutch.

What difference does it make if you buy it here or there? o.O
Does anyone know if Senran Kagura series from Xseed games was rejected by GOG too?

As far as I recall they worked on a gog release, but dropped it. Have no source though, sorry.

Considering your bad taste in games, I'm not surprised you haven't kept up with the last 20 years of Wizardry games

Thank you for your reply.

Damnit I very much so dislike censorship on sexy games. But on the other hand the violent in your face blood/gore is accepted. To me it is a strange world.
:(

Sigh.... i knew my turn to be bitten by "curation" would come eventually. Not cool GoG, not cool at all.

Elminage Gothic is here, numerous Wizardry games are here. What the actual hell?

Gotta love the double standards. :/
But in this case it wasn't about censorship, it had something to do with the multiplayer part of the game I think. Don't quote me on that though, it's been some time and I don't really remember the whole situation. :P

GOG has regional pricing for Brazil, Humble Bundle doesn't.
I understand that some people may be disappointed for GOG rejecting the game. Honestly I wish the game was here, so that most people would enjoy it.

Since I love "RPG blobbers" I too was interested in this.
Alas... it seems the game doesn't have a constant automap (I could very well be wrong here, but it seems you need to either buy the maps or need a spell to make them work). On this day and age there's no way I'm gonna touch a "dungeon-crawler" without a reliable mapping system.

Ever since Ultima Underworld I can't play without one. Heck... even Might&Magic 3 had a simple, serviçable one.
I made the mistake of buying Elminage Gothic once. I'm not gonna make that mistake twice.

Still it's a shame for people, like samuraigaiden, who really wanted the game here. And not a very smart move from GOG, who's alienating the JRPG dungeon-crawler fans. In fact, it seems that GOG has some sort of strong bias against party-based dungeon-crawlers (plenty of those have been refused in the past).

Won't someone just kick the folks behind the "curation system"?
