So are you literally telling me that the gamer team GOG has recruited for this job hates anime styyled games?

This beyond depressing. Keep in mind that this will affect my future purchases on GOG from now on.

Already I have to deal with:

1) Games who aren't updated as the steam counterpart, and often left behind with gamebreaking bugs;

2) Features removed due to either online or other crap;

3) Japanese games which are region locked in japan on GOG, but NOT ON STEAM.

Now I have to deal even with a "team of gamers" chosen by GOG who don't like these games? No thanks.

Perhaps that's jumping the gun a bit...

None can tell if the "gamer" testing team deemed it bad, or was it the "research", or something else, based on the copy/paste answer.
The whole matter is already muddy enough, let's not get ahead into baseless conclusions...

It's a funny clip, and if people's time is so precious that they cannot spare 30 seconds then why even bother playing games in the first place? ;)

That's the problem. I was playing a game, I died 5 times. :(

Well then avoid watching my clips so you can die even more while playing. ;)

Ah, it's ok. I don't usually mind dying. It was just embarrassing because it happened while I was playing The Secret of Monkey Island.

Sorry, they dropped the ball for me this time around, so I kinda reacted impulsively.

This however doesn't change the matter though: I want to know more about this :/

Maybe we'll find out within a few days. Hopefully it will be something painfully obvious like a single player online requirement or it's a terrible port a la Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana. I can understand not wanting to host a game that has such issues. Ys VIII was a massive headache in particular.
Look, people... it's fun dancing around GOG's grave & I enjoy it just as much as anyone, but we all know why GOG turned down Wizardry.

I'll say it:

GOG don't jive with racist nazi stuff, so because Wizardry HAS BEEN CULTURALLY APPROPRIATED BY THE JAPANESE, GOG was FORCED to turn it down.

Katy Perry is rolling in her grave. :sadface:

EDIT: Typo. I don't want grammar NAZIS to be empowered by my typos.

From my brief research of Lost Souls, it is basically a copy of the early Wizardry games. To quote someone or another: "Ooooh, it is Wizardry!....(1 hour later)...Eeeew, it is Wizardry!".

To put it bluntly, the game is not likely to be as good when compared to modern dungeon crawlers, such as Etrian Odyssey or Shin Megami Tensei - because it is a deliberate throwback to the early days of the genre. I pretty much consider it to be a time-capsule of sorts, sans the need to fool around with DOS and whatnot.

Still going to pick up a copy. Partially out of curiosity to experience "old school" dungeoneering, but also to help encourage the industry to bring more of the genre as a whole to PC.

I notice that most people on GOG downvote simply because they are butthurt that some Users don't agree with GOG curation policy, yet can't be bothered to join in on the debate. Dear god, the world is full of Corporate Shills.

Didn't ya know...you can't use leftist terms in a bad light here or post chan memes.....people here seem to hate em with a passion. 0.o ;)

Also to ALL who downrated Post 513: I made a joke in good fun to Dalthnock, and he seemed to be ok with it.......for those who constantly see me making fun jokes to others and downrating them: GET A LIFE!

Some aren't shills on purpose....they just love GOG and hate seeing what they deem to be "bashing" the site/'company....even if some of the criticism is valid/warranted. They just see the words others write and impulsively hit the minus sign.

Offtopic: I get downrated around 4-5 rep PER DAY lately....even when I don't post hardly at all/post short replies about the thread topics.....some here seem to think it'll make me "behave" like swatting a dog's nose with a rolled up newspaper. Boy, have they got a surprise coming: I won't stop saying what's on my mind, irregardless of how they feel, if they simply downrate and don;t give me a reason for their dislike/hate.

Maybe if they gave a reason and tried to explain what they didn't like about me I could correct any mistakes they might've made when judging me(which it usually is in most cases) or try to work out a peaceful solution to the issues they have with me. By downrating and going on without commenting why they dislike me it just encourages me to continue on as I have been.
