Not sure why there's so much negativity about this - if you are given a game for free that is on your wishlist then why on Earth complain about it? I for one will be delighted if I get any game on my wishlist for free.

DubConqueror: If I get a game on my wishlist for free, it will mean a 100% discount for Expeditions: Vikings as my wishlist is only 1 game long. My backlog however...
Some people are expecting Skyrim release.

finkleroy: If you do happen to receive Deadly Premonition for free, you should be stoked. If you can put up with having to use a fan-made patch and occasional crashes, you'll be treated to a bizarre yet brilliant game.

Luned: Oh, I'll be happy. The reasons I haven't bought it yet are: a) it's almost always on deep discount; and b) I've promised myself I have to work through some backlog before buying any more games,
I got it on a massive discount and I still feel dirty for buying that crap. One of the most dull, tedious things I ever played in my life. You'd best remove it from your wishlist before the giveaway. You'll be better of receiving nothing than that game. At least nothing won't waste your time.
I am happy with any game they give out for free, tbh. I am just glad GOG is being so kind to us :)

Did you play it all the way through? It's a brilliant story.

sunshinecorp: Hm...
Where've you been, Dudeist?
1000 free copies of Jack Keane 2.

Whoopee fu&%in doo! :P

supplementscene: Thanks for that

It's the colon. You have to use the HTML code for unusual characters in URLs now, lest it mess up the link.

I'm not here. I was never here. You imagined me.
And here I thought the email meant they would release more games that are on the community wishlist.
But this is a nice gesture too! =)

No way. By the 3 hour mark I thought I'll die of boredom. By the 4 hour mark I wished I actually died an hour earlier.

I don't care how supposedly brilliant it gets "eventually". There is no reason it has to suck for so long. No reason why I should keep forcing myself through it rather than play something that's fun from the start.

It was just made official on a press conference in the Pentagon.

I feel like I ought to top up on credits but am a bit worried that the giveaway is to sugar coat some "good news" á la Amazon bought GOG for 20 milliard dollar$. I also suspect I might have to listen to protests how it was only five months since last time I got help with adding a tenner.

Sadly, using the HTML code in the URL breaks the URL, so there's no way that link will work until and unless GOG fixes the forum software, and that's clearly never going to happen.

Oh, is there such a thing? What's the patch for? I'm having slight problems running it under Windows 10 - it does work, but there are some hiccups and CTDs and stuff...

Edit:
I can't be the only one wondering whether they should start removing stuff from their wishlist, right? (For me it's more of a "yeah, that looks pretty decent"-list.)

The patch fixes quite a few things. This guide explains how to fix even more bugs. It's a long enough list that I'll let you read it for yourself here.

I removed a few things from my wishlist, as well; mainly games I "own"™ on Steam.
