If the summer sale goes until 28th of June, it will overlap with the Steam sale, which starts on June 24. Will this be a first, or has it happened in the past?

I highly doubt that, from what I recall it always preceded the Steam sale. Give or take a couple of days.

Yeah, that's the idea that I always had. By the time the Steam sale begins, the GOG one is already over.

Yes, I agree.
For GOG it would not make sense, to have the users compare the deals between GOG and Steam, as this may lead some people to spend their money on Steam if they have better deals for some games.
I'm sure it's happened before that they overlap, probably with Halloween or Black Friday sales, which can only be moved so far.
No summer sale, no even weekend sale...I don't get it...
I'm super confused too.
Monday 7th + 3 weeks (as is usually the case for the Summer and Xmas sale) = 28th of June. That's my guess, anyway.

What if the date for christmas is unknown?
Or you only know "roughly" because last year's christmas was also "around that time" ...
And then, after all this puzzling around and all the speculations some "higher entity" leaks it...or not.

I honestly don't get (for years) this secrecy for the sale dates.

They ain't selling construction plans for ufos?

Just tell the date, treat your customers like adults.

I think they are afraid to overload servers by letting everyone know when to storm the store...
Yeah, Monday seems most likely now. Perhaps later today though. 5 or 8 PM European time.

If they do it Monday then the missing Mid-Week and Weekend sales would still be kind of weird. Maybe they are understaffed this week because many in the office used the national holiday on Thursday to get a full week off? Or they want to give the Warhammer sale more of a spot-light, though that would also be very unusual since there isn't a big banner dedicated to it. If there's a publisher sale then they still do their regular occurring sales anyway.

It's all just speculation at this point though.

Actually there is. It's on the top of the main page. :)

Oh yes, I see it now! My bad.

I'm speculating, but I think there was mis-communication within GOG when the sale was supposed to start. No mid-week or weekend sales, and earlier this week two games appeared as flash deals for 24 hours. It's like everything was prepped and ready, but whoever was preparing and readying had the date wrong by a week.
