No, there wasn't any sale, it was just a guess.

I imagine that the sale will start as soon as they deem the design changes for it to be ready. Probably there's a few stubborn critical bugs remaining, which their web dev team is bashing its head against with great abandon, putting in far too long hours, and everyone is hating that they didn't manage to get it all done quite when they'd planned for. The final bug might be squashed any moment, with the release approved for tonight, still - or it might slip till tomorrow, or even the day after. I doubt there's anyone who can tell with certainty until the moment is actually there...
(Hint to the dev team for the next go around: Stick to proven technologies! Stop trusting the promises of how much better the newest framework will turn out, and just stick to the basics. Usability and a caring eye for detail trumps flashy every single time!)

It's 18:00 in Poland. They're launching new layout with the sale, so they probably don't want to make such changes at night, due to possible errors or some performance issues. So now the most reasonable date would be tomorrow morning, to make post-release period covered by full staff and office hours.

GOG is going to surprise us once again! Hopefully this time it will be a positive surprise. My wallet is still filled with the money for the 10th anniversary sale and has been almost unused since then.

I think GOG's developers were lurking all the time in the forum threads about the 10th anniversary update, have read all the criticism and ideas for improvement, have silently prepared a new site layout which fixes all the regressions and browser incompatibilities of the current implementation and will roll out the new design together with a fantastic sale just before X-mas...

Well, at least that's my dream for the Winter sale. :P

Have they announced this anywhere? I've been away from the forum for the last couple of days, so I'm not up to date.
