Because Goddamn this game was badass. A Star Wars game that can still stand on its own as a solid military tactical FPS without the need of Jedi Lightsabers and Space Ships.

And please let the soundtrack also be in the extras. Because its one of the best Star Wars Soundtracks ever:

I agree with you but a lot of people don't like this game. Granted it is short and I guess they fucked up with the Wookie dimensions, but man it is SOOOOO fun.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will happen. None of the Star Wars' games so far had their soundtrack included.

Short yet the levels dragged on imo.

The weapons had that punch. And the sound effects were brilliante.

I especially like the helmet visor. The Metroid Prime influance is strong with this one.

Its Metroid Prime, Halo, and Rainbow Six had a baby with Star Wars.
I recently bought one of the Fan Favorite collections, so I already have this one. It's good, I kinda wish I waited to buy it here, but alas. Looking forward to the Jedi Knight series though.
I agree. It's one of my favorite Star Wars games. I was actually thinking of playing it again.
It was released on Steam so I was expecting this to be released also on GOG.

Oh well, I have the disk version :)

Yes Republic Commando is great, would like to see the Jedi Knight games and Jedi Academy here as well.

According to the e-mail sent by GOG, the next games will still be Star Wars.

More Star Wars games?

Well aside from Wanted ones like Republic Commando, the Remaining Jedi Knight Games, and Empire At War there is not much else of interest. And no its impossible to get Rogue Squadrion here on GOG. And alot of other PC Star Wars games are either crap (Rebel Assault) or a bit too niche (Rebellion)

But what about the Monkey Island sequals and Full Throttle :(

Because its a N64 port. And even then it migt be redudant since we already have the XWing games.

Also off topic when you replied to me the number of replies does not appear next to my account.
Yeah, when it comes to my favourite Star Wars games, Republic Commando is definitely up there with the best of them. Along with a great gameplay, which pretty much is a given in popular Star Wars games, the game also contained fantastic writing and great characterization of the individual clones, who ironically enough had proper and distinct personalities. By the final phases, it wasn't just four guys, you were not just playing a squad, you were playing Boss, Sev, Schorch and Fixer, all with their own unique traits, quirks and perks. Shame none of that really reflected in gameplay itself, but the whole squad-leader component was fairly rudimentary, so what the hell.

You got it backwards. The game was released on Windows 4 days before the N64 version. As for redundant, that's only an opinion.
