NuffCatnip: I thought it was Team 17's fault that My Time at Portia wasn't updated regularly, but wasn't sure of that, at least this crap hardens my suspicions.
There may have been a gap in Portia for a bit, but I've noticed for a long time it's been regularly updated (and is currently at full parity, excluding the cosmetic costume DLC).
Just to give you an idea of who we're dealing with, news just came out that Team17 made record-breaking revenues. These guys are rolling in money and treating us customers like beggars.

I sent a chat message to a blue (SmollestLight) to see if we might make sure we get GOG's eyes on this.
Sounds like a repeat of the TinyBuild saga. :/
Un-wishlisted. Shame.

mqstout: EA recently had their employee who said GOG was not an authorized seller of EA games, too. It could be as simple as that.

Perhaps I'm being generous. I definitely want to know *why* companies like Team17, or the other-mentioned Aspyr, decide not to update on GOG. Tiny teams (Stardew Valley, Rimworld, Grim Dawn, Megaquarium, Parkitect, and innumerable others) have no problems doing it. What about deploying to GOG regularly scares them?
To make it clear. My post was not meant as a call for hate for Team 17 - there was a reason I directed it at GOG since I really hope that GOG will look into this. As it has been said, the quote in the OP is from Team 17's Discord and yes, maybe and hopefully a mod just misspoke as it obviously was the case with EA - I really hope so. But the fact alone that it does not seem to be a problem for a mod to simply say "We don't have any intentions on updating GOG" imo is a problem. It only shows that such things here on GOG do happen on a regular basis and that at least some mod on the Team 17 Discord does not consider this to be a problem. Well, it is - and it is a breach of contract as well ... however if there aren't any consequences for this the contract is not worth the paper it is written on. I only want GOG to do what's right even if it means that their partners won't like it ... especially if their partners don't behave like true partners anyway.

mqstout: I also do want to say I'm okay with slightly delayed updates, especially if they know they're in a flurry of regular updates and will have a bunch of hotfixes coming up. I'm OK to miss out on the little +x.y.1 hotfixes and wait for the next "stable" release, so long as it's not too long... a week at most?
I agree. Slightly delayed updates - especially in the case of small devs - aren't a problem for me as well. The thing that triggered me so much was the arrogance in what I quoted that basically said "Oh, you're a GOGer ... oh, no - we decided we won't update your game (don't expect us to give you any reason for this) - but btw, thanks for your support and your money". This simply is something that HAS to stop. It is not something that we have experienced for weeks - this is going on for years and it would be so great if GOG would finally fight for us because I am getting tired of fighting their fight.

Great idea, thank you.

Not ALL customers I'd like to add ;)

Unfortunately it does. Afair the tinyBuild saga had a happy ending with them updating all their games and apologizing - maybe something like this will happen here as well.

Did anyone actually ask them WHY they wont be supplying the update?

Niggles: Did anyone actually ask them WHY they wont be supplying the update?
It has been asked ... but not answered yet.

However If I were a publisher I would have given a reason for this the moment I have to tell my customers that they won't get any update. So for me the fact alone that they did not offer a reason at once make me think that there is none. In any case this is not the way to treat your customers if you want them to be future customer as well.

And on top of that, it makes us look like beggars.
"currently no plans" is a smart wording that leaves the opportunity open to ,,change,, their minds...
I don't own the game in concern here, heck... did not claim it in Epic while free due it once had the redshell spyware:

With MarkoH01's input, the only Team 17 game I was interested on (Raging Justice) now goes to the deep of the forgotten realm. Easily there are hundreds of vgames out there waiting for a chance...
For those that own Yoku's Island Express here, I invite you to leave reviews to let the potential customers know. There are more chances they read the reviews than digging the general forum (with it's conveniently broken search feature) and find this thread...
I join the complain about the complicit silence of GOG, not only this time but as tradition that has driven to the second class customers situation. And as Ancient-Red-Dragon very well expresses, it must be entirely resolved!
Time ago I voted phaolo's wish. Maybe it is time to open a new one and re-vote it to let GOG know how alive & urgent it is.
Thanks to all the gogers for your time & sharing
didn't this release in 2018? why is it getting an update?
Create text file, name it shitlist, add developers like this, save.

Create text file, name it bestdevs, add developers that actually contribute to their own forums on gog, save and support them instead.

Spread the word of the 'bestdevs' because gog sees no difference from shitlist and bestdevs and will most likely not put the bestdevs on the front page since they are most likely self published true indie developers.

My bestdevs list so far:

Fates of Ort - 8BitSkull
Space Haven - Bugbyte
Minotaur - U7 committee
Tunguska: The Visitation - Rotorist Workshop
Stasis, Beautiful Desolation, Cayne - The Brotherhood

Good practice to have since we have to vet every game we're interested in since gog can't be bothered to hold any of them accountable. Even if you contact gog and wait a month or two for a human response, they won't be able to understand the nuance of your ticket.
Thanks for the info. Just went on their Discord channel and spoke my mind.

Guess there will be no more Team 17 games for me.

I suspect it's just something like "GOG didn't sell enough copies for us to want to bother", but I could be wrong.

There's that boycott thread if this makes anyone angry enough to boycott who isn't already boycotting.
