supplementscene: So to clarify the order of who shoots is pretty much like a board or can you take a shot whenever you please?
avatar
Bookwyrm627: You may shoot at any living player, provided you are eligible to shoot.

You may only take one shot per queue reset. The queue is reset in one of two cases:
1) The gun fires. When the gun fires, someone dies, and everyone is eligible to shoot again.
2) Every living player has taken a shot.

Shots are served on a first come-first served basis. If you are eligible to shoot, you may input your shot at any time, and it will be added to the queue. Any queue'd shots will be dealt with (in order of submission) whenever a mod happens to be around.

Read the game thread I linked in the OP for examples.

[Edit: clarifications]
So what I took from that game is that anyone can shoot in any order and a shot only goes off once a mod comes into the thread and calls the shot. Is that right? Once someone shoots he/she can not shoot again until everyone has had their shot, which is unlikely.

Wait, didn't I win this game a few days ago? Are we playing another round? Fine, let me see...

Shoot SirPrimalform

for bringing an axe in a showdown with a revolver.

Where did you get the idea that it's unlikely?

I suppose it depends how active the Mod is. It didn't appear to happen in the quoted thread

Not sure I follow what the mod's activity has to do with it. The rule is very straightforward, and Bookwyrm627 already explained it. Unless you mean something else?

As for game #34, you may have missed that half the players got killed in the first few rounds - once there's a successful shot, the queue resets, regardless of if everyone had their turn or not. But things may go a different way; check out the most recent RR game to see what I mean.

The axe is my +1, we both plan on using the revolver.

Bookwyrm627: The rules will be generally based on Game 34's rules:
As long as they're not based on Rule 34's games by accident.

Yes. Anyone can shoot at any time, and they can shoot at any living player. When a mod checks the thread, all shots that have been 'fired' will be checked in order of submission to see whether each shot is a miss (*click*) or a hit (*bang*). A hit means that the targeted player is dead and any further shots in the queue are discarded.

Once every living player has taken a shot (and missed), or once a shot has been fired (meaning someone is now dead), the queue will be reset and everyone is free to try shooting again.

You are free to discuss (or not) and try to fire the gun at any time once the game starts. There is no Night Phase, so the scum thread will be open for the entire game. The game ends once there is only one faction left alive (scum don't auto-win once they reach number parity with town).

The mod will show up at least periodically. All valid shots will be accepted even if a mod isn't present, and they'll be reviewed for success whenever a mod shows up.

Early in the game, when a lot of people are still alive, the queue will generally be reset by someone's death. Once there are only a few players left, the queue may be reset because every living player has taken a shot and missed.

I just wanna stress that the mod does not decide which shot was lethal and which was a dud when they get online, but that the slot (1-6) of each "live" round (lethal bullet) per chamber is set by the mod _before_ the start of the game. So he has a table which shot is the killing one at the start of game and just tells the players the result of each shot when he is around.

That is a hurtful stereotype! Not all axes make axes puns all the time.

I figured this out on a re-read but thank you
How many delinquent do we need for this game?
I think SirPrimal* can fill up any remaining seats. up to saxeteen players.
If this is relatively short I think I probably have time to play before game #55 starts.
