The loud bang echoes the through hallways leading to the Engine Room. Trentonlf stands there for a while, looking at the gushing wound on his chest and then silently collapses on the ground.
Pookina rushes in only to hear Microfish_1 say "Hasta la vista, baby!" (T-800, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, 1991) while making inhuman gargling noises. Catte, who is standing in front of trentonlf's lifeless corpse, turns around with a quick swipe of what used to be a normal looking human arm moments ago and Pookina's body splits in half, blood spurting everywhere.

"Fools. The Convergence is not what you think it is. Start the Engine, Catte." snarls Microfish_1.

"But... but... I had it all figured out! I was supposed to be right!" - GymHenson's trembling voice is heard from the entrance of the Engine Room.

"I was supposed to be right..."

Catte looks at him, flips the Engine's switch and simply says "Game over, man." (Hudson, Aliens, 1986)

I thank you all for indulging me once more. :-) I enjoyed playing, even though it got a little rough due to real life stuff. And I have to say, the more whiny tones I have a penchant for are starting to make me cringe. I like them too much it seems. Sorry for those.
I think I see a little light in all the chaos, but I still miss tons of fineprint and stuff.

About the usefulness of Mafia-day-chat:
The way I see it, the argument could be, that it's most useful in the beginning, because of many players and potential opportunities to pick a lynch target, and the fewer players there are, the more likely Mafia can coordinate in night-chat, because they will probably have favourite targets and can communicate eventualities (if x/y slips lets go for it, possibly with an order or preference) up front? Or am I missing something?

As IC I wouldn't know if I should reveal early or not, but the confirmed and bulletproof later sounds good. The Question would be, if I would get that far though. Tough choice.

I was pondering breadcrumbing "I'm expendable" or "Lynch me".
I occasionally contemplated "I'm Mafia" and giggled. @Lift: If you were a Vigilante and would find such a breadcrumb, would you also vig the breadcrumber for this?

Dang. It is embarrassing to look now at all I wrote in the dead thread. I was so sure Catte was Town. I gotta hand it to him, he did play extremely well.

The only thing I would say slightly damps this (very deserved) scum victory is that both were a bit lurky in earlier days. But far from enough to say it was unfair.

EDIT: And I just noticed it was due to RL situations, so... yeah. Deserved win with all laurels.

That doesn't make a lick of sense. You only voted for him because you thought he was town? That's really unfair to your teammates.

Nope, we weren't trolling. This deserves an explanation:

We didn't lynch GH simply because we weren't both online at the same time and by the time I got back from work you'd stopped voting for him. That's all there is to it.
It had the side effect of making you think that GH must be scum but that wasn't particularly our aim.

Honestly, even if I was 100% wrong on my scumteam reads? I'm very happy with the way I played. For once I felt sharper and more invested than the usual. It's a shame I was the only one putting that much effort into the game after bookwyrm kicked the bucket. I would've liked another voice to convince me that GH was maybe not our guy.

Not so. I'm just not a fan of ruining the dramatic tension and stealing the mod's thunder. I hate it when hammered scum gives up before their flip too.
Not that I'd give someone a hard time over that, but you do it your way and I'll do it mine. I certainly wasn't trolling you though and I'm sorry you feel that way.

Plus you never know if the game isn't bastard. Nothing worse then going "hooray, we won!" only to find out there is an SK.
