trentonlf: The last line of this post mentioned 24 hours to end of day when he posted, and in my head it was a 24 hour extension (that was actually about 16 I think).
That's why people should check Dedo's linked countdown timers in this game. ;)

trentonlf: I should never assume that people will actually vote or be around at end of day I guess.
Well I was, and I tried to get another wagon going.....which we almost had, but not quite.

trentonlf: Just got home from the doctors, I have bronchitis and hopefully nothing more. I am tired, but will be around as much as I can be.
Here's hoping it's just that, and that you'll be better soon enough.

Boomp plz

Microfish_1: Very suspicious on nmillar part from my POV. Not gonna vote now because of the votecount situation (l-2 without a defense spoken?) but yeah. Not Good.
I'm exhausted so heading to bed. I hope to be able to devote time to the thread in 14 hours but no promises.
No worries....take your time and get better....we've got time to spare.
(plus everyone else will likely wait for NMillar to respond anyways)

Dedo's time post
The last line of this post mentioned 24 hours to end of day when he posted, and in my head it was a 24 hour extension (that was actually about 16 I think). Although that should not have affected anyone voting in plenty of time, and there were plenty of people on at the end of day that could have ended it with a lynch but no one did, myself included. I should never assume that people will actually vote or be around at end of day I guess.
Oh dear, I hope it's nothing more. Get well soon.

I'll be honest, I did wonder if you were trying to lull people into a false sense of security with that mentioning of 24 hours but it's not like people couldn't check the clock themselves.

my name is capitayn catte: I mean... you pulled GH back from L-1 to L-2 and moved Lift from L-2 to L-1. I'm not sure how this would make NL less likely. Either wagon only needed one more vote.
avatar
blotunga: I wasn't online when nmilar jumped back and forth. But nmillar was already on the L-1 GH wagon. And said would continue to be online. So I assumed that way we have a chance to lynch at least Lyft. Without me switching, the outcome would've been the same.
That's actually a pretty good explanation and it seems legit to me.
avatar
my name is capitayn catte: I wasn't concerned of accidental hammers, just that it's maybe a little overkill to bring the wagon to that stage before he's even turned up.
Considering how the game has gone thus far, I'd say that nmillar is in approximately 0 danger of being lynched.

avatar
my name is capitayn catte: Holding off when someone is at L-2 is pretty standard.
When did this start? My recollection is that unless Town believes they are around Mylo, we left the wagon at L-1 and if someone quick hammers then they explained themselves adequately the next Day or we strongly considered killing them for their indiscretion.

Iirc, it started several games back when some players accidentally/"accidentally" hammered other players at L-1. Now some of us hold off when a player is at L-2 until that player has had a chance to reply in their defense/etc.

The game thus far reminds me of this clip/scene
(i.e. several of us suspect someone, there is a NL, and then the next "day" that player turns up NKd)

Is it because it's not available in other people's countries?

This is not a good reason to stop a wagon at L-2, pressure pressure pressure is the name of the game for lynches and L-2 is not pressure.

.
Sadly this has merit :(
Who do you suspect at this point and why?
To quote Yogsloth, "Who da scumz"?

-I know it isn't me. The NK should tell anyone with any familiarity with me that it wasn't me. LAMIST and WIFOM be damned, scum!Wyrm isn't spending a NK to clear the air about a nearly-lynched player. If I'm lacking a better target, then I'll just nail one of the people that thought he was Town to help him over the edge on a later Day.

-The NK says it also isn't Trent. Much like me, I just can't see him spending a NK on a perfectly good mislynch.

-Pooka's outrage about the NL feels genuine. Combined with tone from other posts, I'm feeling it isn't him.

-Microfish has felt more or less town to me most of the game. This is based on tone reading and that he's been providing active reasons for his decisions.

-Catte is harder. I'm thinking the NK might also clear him, but I'm less sure. I hate the lurk, but some of the tone is reading town. Choosing to actively go for No Lynch on Day 1 is also something of an odd choice for scum!catte.

That leaves GH, Nmillar, and Blotunga as the primary scum candidates.

When I look back over the voting records, I see very opportunistic voting by Blotunga and GH both. Day 1, they both sat on their RVS votes until EOD, at which point they went for leading wagons. One of those was GH, so Blotunga climbs on.

Day 2, Blotunga opens the day by pointing suspicion directly at Lift. GH is doing his level best to encourage generalized suspicion and anyone-but-him giving reads and top tier lists, and he managed to go much of the Day without taking any kind of stance on anything. EOD, the voting slides back and forth some with GH teetering on the edge: Pooka/NMillar/Blotunga, then Catte joins (L-1), Lift offers GH last words, Nmillar flops off then back on, and Blotunga's first post after Catte's vote is to jump off the GH wagon which effectively cancels the GH lynch and leaves Lift as the only viable option.

Looking over Nmillar's posts again, I see he had Lift more leaning town than scum without much indication of that view changing before EOD. NMillar's lack of jump is less surprising.

Here we are on Day 3 and Blotunga has kicked things off on NMillar. This is an odd choice if they are a scum pair.

Throughout the game, I've waffled on whether GH is scum, where he looks awful but the lynch is almost too easy.

Regardless, we have one mislynch. I think the most likely target for scum is
Vote Blotunga

What mislynch? It was a no lynch. I think this might be a slip from you. Are you nmillar's scumbuddy?

As for me changing to Lift, I've explained it quite clearly. There was nobody else around to lynch GH. Nmillar was around, as shown by his last post.

Two mislynches plus two NK's puts the game at 2v2. Town only has one mislynch remaining. On the "bright" side, I suppose we do have another of those NL's to spare now. -.-

Lift had already declared his plan to hammer GH. What makes you think he wasn't going to be back in time?

Because he hasn't posted until nightfall. Nmillar posted and yet didn't hammer Lift, even though he was on lift's wagon and then hopped back to GH
Public Service Announcement

For a second Day in a row nmillar is completely missing from the game for longer than the allowed grace period. As I wrote to him on PM earlier I'll start to look for a replacement and if I don't find one in the next day or so (or if nmillar doesn't come back to the game ASAP) I'll just strike him out regardless of the impact that may have on his team. I believe I've been pretty forgiving and generous with extensions when needed as RL should always come first but this is becoming systematic and I don't appreciate it.

Well anyone currently not on the Nmillar wagon is free to put said pressure on NMillar by bringing them to L-1.

You mean the same Nmillar that more or less voiced on D2 that they wanted to avoid another NL, and then(by not voting Lift) allowed another NL to happen? That very same NMillar?

Musing: I wonder why lift didn't just vote me at that time. Yes, we know he was town now, but it is odd he didn't vote me then(hopefully he will fill us in at game end).

exactly how would putting someone at L-1 who's not here (not just offline but has not been here since start of Day) to defend or incriminate themselves do anything?
