Lifthrasil: Why are you willing to take trent's word for gogtrial being Town? What are your own thoughts on that?

This looks a bit like 'follow the leader' to save the hassle of making own observations - or like scum, using trent as excuse for giving reads. Or buddying up to trent by following him.
Did I say I was? Have you read my previous post? Of course I don't trust him. But for now I didn't want to focus on him, because trent's statement already drew my attention to him.

Microfish_1: The only serious vote on Joe, if any, was Gogtrial in Post 77.
So you being 3rd isn't serious? I mean we're all playing a game here, but still, you did make Joe's queue the longest. And then ofc gogtrial.
Why would gogtrial want a d1 early lynch?

I was 3rd? I hadn't realized that when i voted. I thought he was at one vote before me.

Gnight all.

Microfish_1: @nmillar, did you have any reason for voting Catte at all? If yes, how have they changed to where you are unvoting him?
This question has to pop up every game, doesn't it? :)

I vote for him every game in RVS.

Professor Joppo stands up and casts a spell. "Altum sonatur", he says. A glowing orb shines in front of his throat.

"Attention students." — he says, his voice amplified — "As an observing staff brought in to help professor ZFR keep an eye on all of you promising wizards, I have to remind you all that getting caught cheating is strictly forbidden. It is a necessary warning because not all wizards are known to play by the rules, students or not. Naturally we might have to confiscate artifacts that could be used to harm other participants so if one is caught bearing any of those that participant will be immediately excluded from the tournament and thrown out of this classroom."

Ack, my goggles must have been bewitched.

I bet it was another prank by those pesky redheads... *mumble grumble*

Oh!

Suave sonatur (The glow in front of the throat disappears)
After playing with gogtrial several times his actions at the start of this Day are not something I see a scum gogtrial doing He is more reactive and pushing when he sees an opening than he is trying to create openings to push, plus I like the questions he is asking. So no interest in voting gogtrial today.

@blotunga if I'm scum I don't play the distancing game or save my buddies game, I play the same as I would as Town. So whether I'm scum or Town I would do the same thing.

trentonlf: are not something I see a scum gogtrial doing
what do you see scum gogtrial doing?

Just finished at work, and was hoping to find some time to give to the game but didn't manage. I'm going to look after a friend's child for the evening now, and I'm not sure I'll get a chance to get on the internet but I'll try!

Plot twist, the kid is catte's and you are sitting it so he has time to play mafia.

You're right that placing a 3rd vote, making someone's train the longest is kind of serious. But did micro say somewhere, that gogtrial wants a d1 early lynch?

About you believing trent's read or not: you didn't say explicitly that you follow trent's read. But you use trent's read as an argument to focus on Micro. At least that's how I read post 84.

As previously mentioned, super busy week for me, so going to be scarce for a couple of days. I expect to do a roundup post with belayed reactions to things from #80 onward come the weekend. For the moment:

avatar
Vitek: So you are saying to new player here he shouldn't focus on you, who like to stay in the spotlight but instead go after people with different playstyle and you will be in the clear. Gotcha.
avatar
Microfish_1: Do you have anything to say to this? Is that what you were saying?
Responding to this didn't feel productive. No, this is not what I was saying. Duh. But of course town!Vitek is right in pointing out that it can be read that way, as a warning to phaolo if nothing else, while scum!Vitek will happily say it for some cheap shade without much risk of me scum-reading him for it.

I stand by my original statement. My actions are to the benefit of town - they make it possible to analyze me, and by this point quite a few other people.

As I'm not certain I'm parsing this correctly, who do you mean for each of these "him"s?
avatar
ZFR: We're on a quidditch field.
Is this a case of deja vu? Is this a case of deja vu?

avatar
nmillar: This question has to pop up every game, doesn't it? :)

I vote for him every game in RVS.
Oh. I wasn't aware.

Lifthrasil: But you use trent's read as an argument to focus on Micro. At least that's how I read post 84.
I did too. Glad I wasn't the only one who thought it fishy, and I hope I would have noticed it if it wasn't directed at me.
Replied to Micro, GogTrial

Microfish_1: Yeeees, but if it is by itself in a line that makes it easier to read/find for quick "will i hammer if i vote now" panicked searches (by Joe? :P )
With post searching(by key word), it can be easy to find no matter where it is...as long as it says vote or votus. ;)

That aside, and disregarding the "odd" fixation on Joe(for now), some more replyage:

avatar
Microfish_1: Thank you for the reminder, I really appreciate it. Sadly, whatever it was has entirely slipped my mind between dinner, a friend unexpectedly dropping in to use a tool, and then a compulsory 3 hour nap. I hope to remember it soon.
Was it guy in pic related by any chance? Did they make some weird sounds when they did it? ;D

gogtrial34987: If you look back to #62, you'll notice that the context was "rereading". Specifically the type of rereading where I'm trying to get a feel for the overall shape of the game, of how naturally (or not) votes moved back and forth.
Now what was this about reading posts carefully..? ;)
Wellllll I never advised for me to do it, now did I? ;)

Jokes aside, this is why players(including me, which I now do to a small degree) should take notes. If not full notes, than shorthand and pointers to particular posts. That way players can look back to find things easily when needed.

(I know you likely know the above already, as a more "veteran" player....I just sometimes state the obvious in my posts for various reasons)

nmillar: Unvote Catte.

That built up far too quickly.
Too quickly?

At the time of your unvote there was only one other vote on Catte.....a far cry from the amount needed to lynch.

That said, why remove the vote?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Also slightly bigger-er question to all: Why is everyone hopping off wagons so bloomin' much? o.0

I get not wanting to lynch town, but what if one of them wagons was/is a scum player?

And even bigger-er note/query to all: So, did no one notice the odd posts by at least two players between posts 81 and 100? Or did y'all notice but don't have any thoughts on it?

(I would point what I noticed out, but if they're town I don't want to give scum more of an edge than this query possibly might give them)

Do you mean Micro's bolded letters in post 90? The 'alphabetical order'? I read that as joke, since I don't see any way to hide a message or breadcrumb in a simple abc. So I don't think that this is a Town-PR breadcrumbing and I also don't think that it's a hidden communication between scum. Why would they need to communicate in this way? And what would the message be?

So, if that post is one of those you refer to, what exactly is it that you find odd about it?

And @Micro: and, for completeness sake, what was the point of the 'alphabetization'?
