flubbucket: Trouble is, Laura Roslin is a "good guy" and this sort of contradicts the names and flavor are meaningless edict put out by the host.
I expect better from you, Flub. This is my disappointed face. >=(
I just realized that it was 4 UTC, so 6 my time and there are like 5 minutes left. Quick read.

SirPrimalform: Manipulating them how?
My first post on the matter. My 2nd post on the matter

JoeSapphire: So you meant to say "I will garner more information from Scene's lynch" rather than "we will gather more information"?
avatar
trentonlf: No, we will garner more information from scene as he's been under more scrutiny. For me personally the biggest thing is Pooka. Is there a reason you don't think we will garner information from scene's lynch?
I think scene's an easy target and a lot of the problems people have had with him are accurate - he has misunderstood the rules, he did call for the vanillas to give their names, he has said things which don't make a lot of sense. I think when he flips town the info we get would be minimal.

How confident am I that he will flip town? Pretty confident. He thought he'd discovered something significant in the way blotunga phrased his role. I find that compelling.

+1 for me.

We have about an hour left until Sudden Death time.

He complained that Blotunga said Vanilla Town instead of Vanilla Townie. That's a ridiculous form of playing the PM game.

Not a cause in itself for lynch, but not a feather in the townie cap either.
We know for a fact this is non-sense.

I was willing to switch, but I think we are going nowhere yet again and I'm on the closest thing to a lynch which is also my personal favorite.

Oh well.

@Scene - thanks for your concern, it turned out it wasn't too serious and it's all well now.

Why are you making excuses for him? scene has been in lots of games, the rules are not hard to understand. As a matter of fact the majority of the rules are the same in each game. His excuse of not reading the OP if true is poor play on his part. If someone is going to participate in a game like this they should read the setup and rules involved and I find it hard to believe he really didn't.

trentonlf: To be honest I’m not overly sure who’s scum right now. I still don’t like Pooka’s vote on Scene when the reasons he used were viable before when he didn’t like Scene’s wagon, but I don’t see him being lynched today. Right now the only two viable wagons are Scene and blotunga. Of the two we will garner more information from Scene’s lynch.

Vote supplementscene
I missed this. Didn't you say you now think Scene is Town after all?

I said I'm not sure if he's scum or not. The only two viable wagons at this moment are blotunga and scene, for me the more information to be had is from scene's lynch. If it comes to the end and it's blotunga or a no lynch I will move my vote, but he's not who I prefer.

While I think you have a point, why do you think that that is alignment indicative? It's as in character for town scene as it is scum scene as far as I can tell.

I make it an hour left.

Nearly double posted!!! Now I have to wait 9 minutes. Yay GoG. I'll do some more reading while I wait.

JoeSapphire: If he's vanilla he can't be mason, and if he's lying he can't be town.
avatar
blotunga: I'm not mason, nor lying. Why again did you start my wagon?
Well I first voted for you because you posted on monday when you said you wouldn't be able to say much until tuesday. It was a nonsense joke. But I started pushing your wagon when you were questioned and gave answers with assuredness. You said you were deliberately playing in a manner that would be difficult to tell whether it was mafia- or town-motivated. This, too, I find dissatisfactory.

I'm certainly not agreeing with his logic. I'm saying that I believe that he thought he'd found something significant.

Well precisely. His not reading the rules and misunderstanding the ones he does isn't new and isn't alignment indicative.
Personally, I don't mind it too much. I like that we have a a diverse bunch with very different approaches to the game, some people take it more seriously than others and some people focus on very different things.

Well anyway that's about what I think of it...

trentonlf: As for Scene, I am still not certain now that he is scum. His reactions are not what I would expect from a scum Scene, and the same goes for blotunga.
Please still answer this question from me from #368:

Could you expand a bit on how blotunga's reactions aren't what you'd expect from scum-blotunga?
Less than 1 Hour to go and my internet has gone down once. Only 2 wagons to go, one of them my own. Plenty of reasons to go with Blotunga anyway and I'm still suprised his vote has remained solidly on Flubbuckets with an hour to go. I'm hoping we get the SK and he's given up because he knows he won't be the last poster standing anyway.

VOTE BLOTUNGA
I must have misread you, because here it looked like you were talking about scene manipulating the vote but in the posts linked you seem to be talking about pooka manipulating the vote to get scene lynched. So I'm confused.
