Okay, I read some of gogtrial's posts on this page, and I am honestly more concerned about who's on the wagons than who was the 4th voter or similar. In #57 (Captain Sapphire THE MOVIE), I noticed it was fishy that HypersomniacLive was voting on almost every wagon, and this reinforced my earlier (in the game) feelings that he was scum the whole time. By the end of it, it was pretty much revealed that he was scum.

It wouldn't have mattered if he started the wagon or ended it, or if he came in the middle. What mattered is that HSL voted on nearly every wagon from the start of the game.

What's also more interesting than the vote number is the speed of the growth of the wagon. In just two days, scene got five votes, which is more suspicious than if he had gained these five votes over the whole week instead. That's my main issue with scene's wagon, and if we assume one or two scum kickstarted it, all it would have taken is the remaining scum or a reckless Townie to seal the day early.

As I may not have a whole lot of time tomorrow because of numerous meetings and a work deadline, and I'll be taking my family to some mountain resort for the weekend starting Friday afternoon I'll share some current standings for the sake of not leaving a void.

At the moment I feel best about gogtrial and maybe Joe to some extent. Gogtrial is seemingly trying to genuinely figure things out and scumhunt. Joe is giving me a different vibe from the previous game when he was freaking me out for the majority of the game and turned out to be scum indeed. I think I can see wyrm's frustration with scene coming from a town mindset, so maybe I can say I like him too.

Pooka and flub a notch down but also make me feel better than most others. Leaning Town.

I'm pretty certain scene and trent aren't scum together. If I knew for a fact they were not of the same alignment I'd rather go with Trent being Town. I can't see scum Trent attacking scene like he did based on scum agenda alone.

GameRager, SPF and Micro are neutral at best. I want to see more from them to tip the scales.

I'm afraid that scene might be taken advantage of but at the same time he doesn't really do himself any favors either. I gave him the benefit of the doubt once because of similar assumptions and that didn't turn out great so who knows. Not my top choice for a lynch but I'd be lying if I say I'm adamantly against it.

Blotunga and agent are making me feel the worst from the whole player pool. Basically my top choices.

The names below the line are people who I'd feel more or less comfortable lynching at this point - based on general suspicion/annoyance or for the sake of securing a lynch (pretty much in reverse order from bottom to top).

People above the line are not lynch-interesting to me right now unless something big enough makes me reconsider but I don't really see that happening Today.

That's some impressive WIFOM. Sound and fury, signifying nothing. I don't like it. It isn't possible to accurately employ layers-of-thinking in this game, so you have to work from axioms.

That's not the point I was making. You were suggesting there would probably be a SK based on what you know of ZFR's character despite what I and various other people told you. Anyway, I've said what I felt the urge to say on the matter.

I don't follow your logic for those being the only two possibilities. You find it impossible for town!trent to find you scummy for any legitimate reason?

So just over 2 days to deadline, other than my vote on GOGTrial I'm willing to go:

Trent - He took position 4 after Pooka voiced his potential. This seemed opportunistic - GOGtrial has defended 'position 3 and 4' ie Trent and GOGtrial. Why Scum do typically jump on positions 3 and 4, I know I have.

Blotunga - his 5th vote seemed opportunistic and subsequent unvote when questioned on it, alongside his claim that there's probably Scum on my wagon didnt sit right.

Microfish - big departure from the amount of analysis last game. He says he can't play on his mobile, which sounds kind of reasonable I suppose.

I'm sure there are some lurking Scum players. The SK if there is one is probably lurking. Still if I'm the lynch and I show up Town I want Gogtrial or Trent to be Day 2 Lynch.

I believe position 3 and 4 (and 5) are more scummy though because Mafia in position 1 and 2 have no idea if the wagon is going to take off.

After 2 votes at positions 3-5 they can weight the wagon so it is the clearly the leading the wagon. Group think takes over and 'there must be something in this 5 other people think it.'

Obviously some Town players find me suspicious. Is Trent one of those, possibily. But the fact he's unwavering and also isn't keen on being revenge lynched if I show up Town doesn't quite sit right.
OK now I'm actually sure you're Scum. Instead of picking up on my point that I personally know from out of game Microfish has time to play and isn't posting as much you linger on about a mod-vote implying I'm defending him when in fact I've been quite critical. Maybe your play when I show up Town is - see Scene was inconsistent so it's his fault we misslynched him.

You've also defended Trent twice now, on the mod-vote and secondly on him taking position 4 on the wagon.

I think wagon building is key to identifying Scum. I mean Agent could be scum and looking to get off the Town wagon as it gains traction knowing it likely sinks and he looks Town for not being on it. But his vote makes sense from a Town perspective too. 3rd, 4th and 5th spots on a wagon are opportunistic spots at this stage with so little information.

In my last game I managed to claim Lift looked opportunistic getting on my wagon to take me to 3rd or 4th, then I jumped on his wagon to take him to 3rd or 4th. I was rightfully lynched the next round when he showed up as Town.

You link his frustrating weirdness to his behaviour in previous games, which I guess is a step I missed out in what I said, but essentially that's that it looks like to me.
It's just occurred to me that Supplementscene's misreading-or-actively-avoiding-reading rules and therefore-misunderstandings-abound has come up in out of game discussion, too? Quicktopics and the administration and sign-up threads. I can't say with certainty and I'm not inclined to go look right now, but I'll bear it in mind as something I can do, but that might be a reason why I don't see it as significant.


More posts like this please. I loved just the first paragraph, but the second paragraph pushes it into my All-Time Top-Ten list of best literature.


Does that mean if scene is town you think Trent is likely mafia?

Right Gogtrial is my biggest pick but there's no traction and I literally don't feel

If I was Mafia I would be on Blotunga's wagon as it'd create a rival wagon of 3 votes, a wagon that has a fair bit of a support. However I am questioning if he made a genuine Town mistake. And Joe's lack of commitment to discuss his thoughts on Blotunga bothers me

I don't like this Joe because you ignored and I quote:

"You're only wondering about Blotunga, no actual thoughts that you can put into words? Your vote still is currently firmly on him."

Yet no assessment of Blotunga who your vote is still on. It's like you're not commited to making an analysis so you can later say 'well I wasn't sure about Blotunga anyway'

It kind of reminds of when you made an RVS vote on me in game 55 and never changed it through to lynch.

I found when he said "I don't have much time for the game right now," quite compelling - I thought maybe I'm expecting too much of him. So I was hoping to see more and get a better judgement.


Blotunga's being asked questions from various sources and he has a firm answer for them, which strikes me as odd in itself. The logic behind the answers is sometimes questionable, but he's giving the answers with certainty.

UGH I guess I'll have to find examples. FINE.

^ with the three above examples, I found myself puzzling over the answers "can that really be what he thought/thinks?"
I'm compelled by the thought that he wants to answer the question well - he gives a definite answer rather than saying "I dunno, I didn't really think about it,"
If that is the case, which it might not be, I'd have thought he would be mafia.

So yeah, maybe I'm a bit blotunga-focused at the moment, but he still feels like a good lunch.

That's pretty much what is bothering me about him - this sense of purpose and intent to execute a carefully planned play, but the play itself and the way it was executed wasn't wasn't (in my personal opinion) that great to to justify it.

I'm not sure if that made any sense...
