dedoporno: I refuse to participate in this discussion before the night is done and for the very last time suggest for the others to follow my example. I'm baffled at why do you continue to give information away for free when this is the worst possible time to do so...
Because one on more of us will be DEAD when day breaks and opportunity to share vital info will be lost.

How could scum possibly... POSSIBLY benefit more from discussing this now versus Thursday? Seriously. Tell me.

I'm getting really annoyed at all the "shut up and don't talk" prods. They're all starting to ring more and more false.

So why not we just tell the scum who the sweetest targets are then and be done with it?

There's no sweeter target than me, so I'm all up for it.

Look.

LOOK.

No flips. Newsflash, eh? No information. No lynch wagons. No normal methodology. Squadoosh.

The only way forward for town to win is to work on flavor text and what information we have and sort out the liars. See how the pieces fit together, see what doesn't fit, and go from there.

Stay quiet and hush hush and scum will whittle us down one at a time and then fight amongst each other (if what Ixy says is true.)

Anybody demanding less information at this point is a scumbotron.

Be aware that there is a difference between not talking and not offering new information. Do you remember HijacK's "Shit, I know who the other scum is" post, back in December? If he posted said post during the night, it's quite possible that he wouldn't survive the night, while if he posted it during the day, I doubt he could be killed so easily.
Feel free to discuss already available information, but I also believe you should refrain from offering new intel until dawn. It is much easier to be silenced during the night (night kill) than during the day (lynch).

My €0.02, feel free to use them as you like.

Back to waiting for dawn.
Why is it so hard for you to understand that the night is still not over and NKs may yet to be decided? Yes, someone would end up dead, but why give ideas on who is the best choice?

You really think... you REALLY think... that saying "I got a short PM" vs. "I got a long PM" will sway scum to correctly hit a better target?

Bullpuckey.

I'm finding yogs a bit scummy right now, but while I do see what you're saying I agree with yogs. We've got two claimed cops, whatever HijacK is or isn't and the fact that it's role madness and we all have roles. Scum have their fair pick of targets already.

One (or possibly more) of us will be dead in the morning, so any insights worth sharing should be shared. I don't think it's the time or place for a role claim, but I don't see the length of role PMs being info that will decide the scum's NK target.

Plus it's entirely possible the scum will be using the night to do a bit of fishing, which could be exactly what yogs is up to. But we won't really know unless we indulge him a little. We have the ability to talk, I see no reason why we shouldn't use it.

In fact... Flub, is there a reason we are allowed to talk at night? Is it just to keep the game flowing and more interesting? What happens if I vote?

I just find it a little odd that there are some determined to try and silence any night time discussion, and if we might be missing something.

I don't think anyone is trying to stop night time discussion. My point is what does it benefit town to know the length of a PM? I believe both yog's and Robb on their roles and they each have different length PM's about their roles. Ok, how do we use that to town advantage?

I believe Robb. I'm not sure I believe yogs and CSPVG...

The only thing that puzzles me, is that even if they are scum they would presumably have roles and role PMs, so if they were to fake what a town role pm might look like they could base it on their own style of PM.

So either their lying, and doing it very badly, or they genuinely have got very short role PMs which just seems odd.

It could just be nothing, or it could be that the whole lack of flavour they have both claimed through out the game is because they haven't received any of the PMs they said they did.

I should point out that I potentially blundered.

I have a very short PM, but CSPVG didn't say anything about his until after I said that, at which time he agreed that his was short as well, since we're both the same role.

So he only agreed with what I said.

However, I still tend to believe him, because I'm a witless sap.

I see your point, and it comes down to whether or not you believe yog's and CSPVG's claims of town cop. If they were scum and basing their role PM claim on their scum role PM it could explain the differences in length, but for now I believe both of them and think it's just the way flub wanted to do it.

adaliabooks: We've got two claimed cops, whatever HijacK is or isn't and the fact that it's role madness and we all have roles. Scum have their fair pick of targets already.
Thing is we had the same two cops during the previous night without much other delicious targets, yet both of them stick around. It's very probable that one or more were left alive to plant the seed of doubt and make us lynch our own power roles, but it's not the only possible scenario.

In addition, they are already exposed. But there may be others than are just as valuable, or even more, alive rather than dead. Stating that one has lots of text when the two claimed cops have a couple of lines each automatically makes me think that your role is something more complex. How valuable that complexity actually is is a different topic, but this doesn't change the fact that it's information made public for free and free is what scum thrive on.

As I said before, that was the last time I made this request. Everyone here has a head on their shoulders and should be able to make decisions on their own be it for better or for worse. I believe mine has the best of our interest in it, but if anyone feels I'm wrong feel free to do as you see fit, but keep in mind this may end up being used against you. In all possible senses.
