HereForTheBeer: Speaking for myself, a loyalty program wouldn't influence my decisions to buy here by even a slight bit. Warts and all, DRM-free is the key to this particular store. So long as that sticks around, along with client-free access to the library, then my game store needs are pretty much met.

That, and I've really slowed the pace of buying games. Maybe if the loyalty program included more hours in the day, then I'd be all over it. But more games I won't get around to playing is not the key to what keeps me here.
Yeah, this too. For people (like us) who have lots of GOG games already, it is probable the reason we have ended up buying so much from GOG is not related to pricing. So while cheaper "loyalty" prices might be nice, they still wouldn't be the reason to buy (or not to buy) here for us.

And it would be detrimental for those who do shop around for the cheapest prices, as they probably don't have their games concentrated on GOG, and to them GOG games would cost more than for people with more GOG games...

If GOG wants to show respect to their "best buyers", they might have a Hall of Fame and The Best Buyer of the Month prizes. Then I could wave my dick around in public, both figuratively and in reality.

You wouldn't be able to, really. It only makes commercial sense to reward the best buyer of the month, not the best buyer of all time, and that'll always be someone who buys the whole collection at once.
I think it would be a great idea, buy so many games ...get a game worth x amt free, or a discount. lots of companies have loyalty programs

Don't give them ideas.

"Some of our less technically-savvy customers have had difficulty managing the purchase process, so we have decided to select all of the checkboxes in the catalog by default. If you choose not to purchase the entire catalog at once, you will only need to deselect the titles you intend to buy at a later date."
I think the closest was the Valentine's Day event where some people received a suprise game from their wishlists. I had just joinee so I had little idea of what was going on, but I remembered some users theorized they we rewarding veteran users or users who had bought many games.

A loyalty program would be nice but there are already sales every week and freebies every so often.

HunchBluntley: [...] I guess this program's as much about encouraging loyalty to GOG as loyalty to the customers on GOG's part...but it's still something that other stores with regional pricing don't do (as far as I'm aware).
[emphasis added]

While I'm also not aware of any other store doing it, I agree only with the part I highlighted.

Me neither, it's just the raucous sex with someone after eating cake with all that glorious gog-icing!...I suppose I really appreciate gog being the sole provider of exclusively DRM-Free titles in the face of valve's mandatory bot-run DRM;

That and the threat of restrictive Internet that valve and too many AAAs are relying too heavily on, I would love to find anything that would keep them in this industry, indeed, maybe take over valves position of the main digital distributer of games!

Sure, it's not an end-all solution/idea, just a bit of brain storming more than anything else!

I'm mainly here due to this being the sole digital distribution company that's exclusively DRM-free, especially since valve's bot-controlled DRM was forced upon customers and have/will encourage more scummy practices from AAA and their ilk...
