Gonen32: I'm going completly off topic here: Is F3 one of those (un)officialy games to be released here in the near future ? I'm asking because I'm VERY close tobuying it of Steam (6.79$ on Bundle Stars, ends in 3.5 hours)
The old GOTY retail edition seems to be DRM-free, not sure about copy protection, but no online stuff and no disc check if you use the Fallout Mod Manager which you'll have to use anyway to make the game enjoyable. I've got the German and the English version on disc.
No need to buy it on Steam where it's probably tied to Steamworks.

The retail version has securom tied to the launcher So if the game can be installed with MS not catering to that DRM-type third party launchers are a godsend
