You know what, if you're this ignorant, it's not even worth responding.

Linko64: How is this still going lol
Apparently, but I'm out now, the sheer idiocy of some of these posts is pretty mind blowing.

What an informative and reasonable answer! I wonder, why all those who claim to "raise awareness" about social issues never able to show any proof of those issues.

You've made it perfectly clear that you know nothing about the subject which is more than a bit strange considering that you claim to be in Russia. There was a very real crackdown on homosexual propaganda back in the run up to the Olympics being there and there have been numerous news stories covering it over the years.

Hardly just a single hoax claim like you suggested. And the Russian government itself has a well earned reputation for human rights abuses at home.

Yes, that's "child protection law" I mentioned. Which, as you yourself said was about "homosexual propaganda", not LGBTQ+- people. And as I've said already, the law itself can be used against lots of people, not just gay.

Yes, ALL OF THEM were based on that single 1st April article, I've also mentioned. I did some research a while ago - did you?

Oh, and last year there were reports about one or two gays being tortured by police in Chechnia. That was actually true. Though news media forgot to mention that there were many more (some estimated hundreds, even thousands) people kidnapped and tortured by police in Chechnia, falsely accused of different crimes just for the sake of blackmail and extortion. So yeah, just like I said - thousands of people suffered even died, reporters are only concerned that there were one or two gays among them.

I wouldn't argue with that.

Since this thread is going off-topic back and forth, I'm locking it now.

(Edit: to clarify, the OT was about "if we should agree that art can be independent from its creator." with some discussion related to our curation process. Sadly no one actually talked about it anymore at the end.)
