I also can confirm this issue.

Since the end of 2014 edgecastcdn.net (used by the GOG downloader and GOG Galaxy) is blocked in China by the glorious Great Firewall.

Download only works from the website directly since the URL for the download links is something like http://cdn.gog.com/... which is NOT blocked in China.

I really hope GOG will keep the option to download games from the website after Galaxy is released.

I don't think GOG will ever remove the option of downloading games directly . They said the client will always be optional, and without direct download, it would be de-facto mandatory

Same issue Regarding the Witcher 3. I am also living in China.
-"Game not supported" on the GOG Galaxy.
-When I Try to download files directly from the website either: Blocked if I don't use a VPN client, VPN not stable enough to get the 4GB Files.

I send a inquirie to Support but no answers yet.
If you had any way to get around that, I'll be very interested...

fronzelneekburm: Bumping this too in the futile hope that gog will bother to fix this.
A member from China said that changing the DNS allowed them to download games, though can't recall if they were using Galaxy or not. Doesn't that work?
