why the hell does GOG galaxy reset the whole download if i pause it?

im sorry my internet sucks and cant download the whole game(26gb) in one sitting, that's ridiculous.
Does it? There is no way I could pull that off with my connection either, that's why I love the GOG downloader.
Are you sire it's not just checking the existing content to see what's there before downloading the rest?

It might work if you close Galaxy without logging out. That should pause the download and resume it when you restart Galaxy

How are you pausing it since Galaxy doesn't have pause feature. Only time I've seen it reset is if you abort during install, if you click exit it should pick back up where it left off.

Then all you can really do is go to the above and report it.

In the meantime you could try using the Downloader and then registering the game with Galaxy once it's installed. A pain in the arse, but it is a beta after all.
I'll keep my fingers crossed. I can't download something that is 1GB if it resets itself. OY!

so you cant pause, you can only cancel it...... wow who thought this was a good idea. well i wasted 8 hours not knowing you have to exit the program to pause it.

Er, so wait. What you've been doing is hitting the Abort button? Hmm... yeah, that could be the cause of those missing files alright.

It's on the "to do list", it is a beta after all. But yea abort cancels... click the galaxy symbol in the taskbar and right click - > exit. Should pick back up when you re-start Galaxy.

Oops.
I'm confused. So as of this moment, what happens if I'm downloading and I lose my connection, which happens for me every 10 to 20 minutes, It's only for a second or two but that's enough.

It should pick back up where you left off, but you may have to hit install again... it normally only blows away what has been already downloaded if you cancel.
