2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Hi!
We have just released new version of GOG Galaxy (1.2.24) with many bugfixes and changed. Please check the top post or changelog for the details.

Venom: 1.2.24 (October 11, 2017)
Changes and Improvements:

- Added option to specify command line options when launching games (in each game's settings)
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was BADLY needed for some games and my number one request for Galaxy. A day after my birthday too so i'll consider it a birthday gift from gog lol.
For people not willing to search & read the changelog - most notable changes in the new version IMHO:

- Added option to specify command line options when launching games (in each game's settings)
- Reworked how the navigation history works, fixing numerous bugs (left/right arrows in top menu) - it should work flawlessly now
- Sound volume regulation is respected for in-game notifications (50% quieter by default)
- Some scenarios (e.g. importing older game builds with auto-updates disabled) will no longer show newest game version label if Galaxy is not sure about that (instead: unknown version)
- "Continue previous session" setting for starting page will now properly remember the last page you visited before quitting
- Galaxy will no longer lose games when updated from version 1.1.30 to latest :)

ChrisSZ: Will you guys fix that "Server error" anytime soon? Currently it is impossible to download the backup installers via GOG Galaxy.

Always curious how you guys manage to break things which have always worked in the past.
avatar
Johny.: Could you please check if it works for you now?
I just tried with Machinarium. It seems to work now, the error message did not appear again. Thanks! :-)
Client update fails with a message telling me I can download the latest installer from https://www.gog.com/galaxy

https://www.gog.com/galaxy still points to https://cdn.gog.com/open/galaxy/client/setup_galaxy_1.2.23.4.exe
Nice update. Look like the icon bug is still not fixed though based on changelog, unfortunately this is the only major bug that is really annoying me right now.

Based on my logs, I think this is the right one: https://cdn.gog.com/open/galaxy/client/setup_galaxy_1.2.24.93.exe

Can you send your logs to http://mantis.gog.com/ so we can see why the update 1.2.23->1.2.24 failed? Thank you.
Optional Feature Request for Galaxy: The ability to show friends games you have, if you choose to.

*Key word being *OPTIONAL*

I was on discord with some friends and we started posting pics of our GOG libraries, turns out we can have some matching titles, also we found titles we didn't even know GOG had! Why not allow this as feature within Galaxy? It will help you sell more games, it will help us find matching games we can play with our friends. Win / Win.

Thanks for looking into it.

The frame work is certainly there for this to be possible, the fact you can see friends game time and achievements (or percentage anyway) means you can tell who among your friends owns a game. It would just be a matter of packaging it in a nice way.
After the update, the "More" buttons next to the green "Play" buttons don't work anymore!

Thanks!
Foiled
Updated and the main GOG menu in the left sidebar (where Exit, etc are located) no longer opens the menu. It does display for about a second if clicked within moments of the client opening but then stops displaying the menu shortly after.

Will try submitting a proper bug report but wondering if anyone else has experienced this bug after updating to v1.2.24.

Also my last bug report about the broken Galaxy notification positions didn't receive any update on the bug tracker and is still broken (edit: as of the version before this, I don't have anything to test it with at this moment), unfortunately.

Issue remains in 1.2.24, galaxy still redownloads and overwrites files even if they were just downloaded seconds before.

There is still no check of any kind performed to see if you even need to re-download the files from the "Backup & Goodies" section.

One thing I would like fixed is the ability to mouse scroll your friends list. You can't do that when bringing the friends list up. The only way it works is if you click the scroll bar first and then it works. Even then if you minimize the list and return then it stops working again.
