2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Bug: after changing the Notification settings to display on the bottom-left rather than the default bottom-right Galaxy doesn't change its behavior—the notifications still display in the bottom-right.

Tested this on half a dozen updates to games I had pending which displayed the desktop notification when completed for each.

See attached image showing the settings changed. Using Galaxy 1.2.8 (the latest version).

Hi Coreda,

Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce this issue on my machine. I understand that the issue ocurred for you for notifications on your desktop (not in-game notifications). If so, then we would greatly appreciate you filing a bug report (following the steps outlined in the pinned post at the top of this thread) so that we can track the issue down.

Thanks in advance :)

Should this be filed under Client or Overlay under the new issue Project drop-down menu?

Also, which logs should I attach? There are dozens.

If it's happening in Galaxy or on desktop please select "Client". If it happens in-game than please select "Overlay".

As for the logs, please attach all of them, you can just compress the whole "Logs" folder.
Hey all,

I was quite sure this was fixed a few updates ago, but for some reason my Witcher 3 achievements aren't unlocking anymore again. I remember this being an issue last year, and haven't had many problems, but noticed it was happening again recently. I remembered to have alot of individual saves from last time incase it happened again, so I'm able to test different fixes.

I've tried many things to fix including deleting the "gameplay.db(?)" file that fixed it last time, logging in and out of galaxy, closing and opening galaxy, turning my computer off and on, and tunring off any overlays like RivaTuner.

Anybody actually get a fix for this or what? It only really seems to be the Blood & Wine achievements that are affected.

Thanks heaps.
Why do I, and I assume others too, get a pop-up on screen telling us what game we are playing? I know what I'm playing; my memory might be dodgy at times but I am able to tell if I'm plying Saints Row IV or Starbound without assistance.
So is there no way not for Galaxy to see a certain folder. As I have two GOG folders (one for games, that I dont want Galaxy to see, and the other for Galaxy.) Galaxy sees them both (despite me only telling it to use the folder I want it to use.)

I don't like Galaxy for non-achievement games as Galaxy tends to crash and hang alot when I have alot of games listed in it.
Hey,

we have released a new version of Galaxy.

We have added online statuses in Friends Activity on Game View, so you will be able to check who you can play the game with nearly immediately.

The release also contains a fix for screenshots, which in some some were a bit broken.

Also Chinese simplified was added as languages with limited support. 你好 everyone :)

When you install a game - game will register itself in Galaxy so it's indexed.

You can close Galaxy Client, remove C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Storage\galaxy.db file, start Galaxy Client again, and then import your games with scan&import function (top-left logo menu) on the folder you want.

edit: also, we're aware of Galaxy acting slow when having hundreds of games indexed.

Now we just need a way to set our status: Online, Away, Appear Offline, etc. :P
Is it necessary for Galaxycommunicator.exe to run every time a GoG game is played? Always see it in the task manager when I play Witcher 3.
I only use Galaxy to browse through the store and library without having to log in every time. Don't need it when playing games.

GalaxyCommunication.exe runs regardless of you playing a game or not. Just launching GOG Galaxy will load GalaxyCommunication.exe.

Does unchecking the boxes for bug reports and upcoming features then restarting bring it back? It could also be the handler for the Cloud Saves feature and your/friends/chat status. It doesn't seem to be using much RAM or CPU. Is your GalaxyCommunication.exe behaving poorly?

Ah ok thanks for that. Thats alot quicker than moving the games, then uninstalling them.
Unfortunately the option have client exit when you click the X in top corner stlil apears to be missing :(
Any reason why it was removed ?
from menu of GOG Galaxy
