2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

So far, for me, Galaxy has worked pretty well for installing, updating, and running games.

However, I will say that DLC is not well integrated. Here's a little anecdote:

I launched Galaxy so that I could play Darkest Dungeon. I figured that it was time for me to buy the new expansion pack. Galaxy does a good job of informing me which expansion packs are available. The process of selecting and paying for the expansion pack is pretty smooth - but then what?

I couldn't find any way within Galaxy to actually install the thing that I'd just bought. I thought the game overview, or "manage installation" might be a good place to see which DLC are installed.

I eventually went to 'backups and goodies' and found the DLC listed there. I clicked it, and it didn't look like anything happened. After a little bit of clicking around I worked out that clicking the link had made Galaxy try to download the installer somewhere without saying anything - but there were two problems. One problem is that I don't know where it was downloading to, and the other problem was that it wasn't actually downloading successfully anyway (it was stuck at 0%).

In the end, I closed Galaxy, and used Firefox to get the installer from the GOG website. Using the website was a smoother and more intuitive process than using Galaxy, because on the website each game basically just has a list of downloads - so you don't get lost in a maze of menus.

It would be nice to have Galaxy offer to download and install the DLC for the game; or if that is technically difficult, then at least have a message saying what needs to be done to get it. Downloading the installer to some untold location is not really a great way to do things. (And presumably I'd still have to leave galaxy to install the stuff anyway.)
Something within the past couple of weeks has completely ruined my desktop's ability to connect to GoG's servers, both on the website and on the Galaxy client. I cant access the store, my library or download games. Instead I get oversized thumbnail images and strings of website code like "System: {{ details.main.currentSystem }} {{ details.main.currentSystem }}". I took some screen shots to show what a garbled mess this is and can provide them if requested. To clarify, its only GoG's servers giving me problems, not any other site's, and only on my desktop. Any help I can recieve from staff regarding this would be appreciated.
Is there any plan to allow multiple Library locations for Galaxy in the future?
Adding this feature would be really appreciated.

You already somehow can do this. When installing a game via Galaxy you can choose where it should be installed, just there is one "shortcut" to the standard game folder. When importing, you can do the same. Nothing has to go to the default games folder.
I did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for.

I have all notifications disabled, but it still creates a notification for games on my wishlist. I don't know the exact time frame, but at least once per day, if I have GOG Galaxy open, the task bar icon flashes at me until I clear the notification (in GOG not a Windows Notification).

Is there a way to prevent GOG Galaxy from flashing on my task bar?

Take a look at your Profile under Privacy and Settings choose Subscriptions and disable Wishlist. This should do the trick :)

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

Looks like it'll stop emailing me, which I'd like to have happen. Oh well..

Thanks!
The window of discounted games is very visually unfriendly. Small text small icons on which nothing is visible. I don't even want to watch what kind of games are there. You should improve this window.

TBH I really prefer the website for shopping. Rightclick -> New Tab. Take my time to study the page and reviews. I only ever buy DLC through Galaxy, since it shows what's available.
I recently downloaded the installer for GOG Galaxy with the intent to play Neverwinter Nights 2, but for some reason, the installation isn't starting up on my system. it just sits there. Am I doing something wrong?
Is there a fix for the Client to not be so blurry in 4k resolution? I tried the windows 10 compatibility thing and the screen blur fix thing for older apps on windows 10 but no go.

Anyone got a fix for that, that would be great! thanks.
Looks like I don't have a choice any more? If I want to download anything I HAVE to have yet another piece of DRM bloatware on my PC? Might as well just buy games from Steam if that's the case.

edit: turns out I was just being dumb and the site went kind of weird for me is all

Nope, you can still like always use the Website, just use the Offline Backup Installers.

huh, the main site seems to be working for me again. Probably something dumb that I did.

My apologies everyone.
Is there a way to prevent Galaxy from showing up in the icons bar in the bottom right? Once I exit I don't want to have Galaxy hanging around.

And even if I exit it still uses memory as processes shown in Task Manager > Processes? Any way to prevent that from happening? Helper.exe, Notifications Renderer.exe, etc.

I literally just want to use Galaxy to download backup installers and install them outside Galaxy. That's all GOG. please
