2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Not that this is a particularly novel question, but uh... any plans for a Steam Big Picture equivalent in Galaxy. It's not even that I want to use it on my TV -- I just think it'd be cool to have a full-screen, visually arresting way to browse my games library. Maybe some moody music to go with it.

I imagine something like that will come at some point, though I also imagine a lot of other stuff is taking a higher priority right now. The chance of GOG actually talking to us about their plans is slim to none.

Once again we have gone back to literally zero information from GOG... now it's nothing more than "we have released update xyz" and the occasional response to a problem.

Yeah, figured. Just wasn't sure if it's something GOG's brought up in any official capacity in the past. Totally agree that it's a relatively low priority; just curious where things were.!

Not that I am aware of, and if they had I'm pretty sure I would have seen it. :P
Will the client ever be fixed so that all my games can have tiles again?

Exhibit A

Been asking for the better part of 2 years now and just seem to get "Aye, it's a cache thing.. we know about it.. " as if my original question was "Hey look at this cool thing, isn't it neat?" and not "Your $hit is broke, would you care to fix it?"

I haven't had this issue in a long time... maybe your cache is corrupt? You could regenerate it by closing Galaxy and going to ProgramData -> GOG.com -> Galaxy -> webcache and moving that folder (you could also just delete it but I would just move it temporarily and see if it works) then start Galaxy.

Venom: snip
So I downloaded a few large games at another location (using Galaxy) because I wanted to use a faster ISP w/ unlimited data... with the goal of copying them to my desktop (from my laptop) and importing them in Galaxy.

Well I did that with most of them, which worked fine except The Witcher 3 wants to be an issue. At first Galaxy failed to find it using "scan and import", so I instead imported the folder... which worked fine. But now the Galaxy doesn't show the DLC as installed (even though the DLC is already included in the files).

Now if I try to re-install the DLC in the hope of Galaxy finding the already downloaded files it fails to do so and instead tries to download the entire DLC again (11 GB worth).

I thought the goal here was to save me data. To say that I'm pretty pissed right now is an understatement.

Since you're mentioning DLC I assume it's the base TW3 version not the GOTY? We'll investigate the issue.

Did you download the offline installers and install the games on the destination machine, or did you install games via Galaxy on source machine and just move the files to the destination machine?

Galaxy and I just moved them.

If you want to download games on one machine and install on another offline installers would be the best way to go. You can of course use Galaxy on both machines. But just moving the game files will skip the actual game installation process, that adds registry entries, installs additional dependencies and files in folders outside of the game folder. That might be the cause of your issues. We'll look into it regardless.

Isn't that was import then verify / repair is for? That created all the relavent registry entries, etc... it just can't dected the DLC files are already downloaded.

I've imported the TW3 in the past and it has detected the DLC just fine. I don't know why but it seems sometimes import wokrs fine and only downloads a very small portion other times it want's to download large sections of files it already has.

Thanks for the help Venom but I found the problem. Thank you.

TheTomasz: Hey,

we have released GOG Galaxy 1.2.36 today.

The changes we've been keeping on Beta channel are now available to everyone, which, most notably, means lower CPU and memory usage thanks to upgrade of CEF!

It also adds couple bugfixes. More information you can find in the changelog.

hexaae: Unfortunately new CEF = issues with NVidia drivers for some GPUs: Galaxy's UI is now rendered with HW video acceleration resulting in purple/green corrupt gfx for many users.
Blame CEF HW acceleration incompatibility or Nvidia, but this bug has not been fixed yet and is now affecting not only Chrome UI, GeForce Experience UI, but also Galaxy UI now :(
Example (GeForce Experience image): https://ibb.co/gjEX2m (but it's the same with Chrome and GOG Galaxy, using new CEF)

Windows 10 x64 FCU 1709 (16299.192), Nvidia drivers 390.77 WHQL, GPU 980m
my whole GOG UI is blurry
