2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Venom: snip
I'm sure many of us would appreciate some kind of progress report or any info on update 1.3.0... was really hoping we would see a more open development pattern with future major Galaxy updates (ie nightly/weekly/monthly beta builds) or even selective beta test among certain GOG users (GOG Agents program seems to be dead unfortunately). :(

trooper6: So, ever since I updated to 1.2.29, I've been having trouble with Galaxy.

Specifically, I start Galaxy, then after a few moments a get a pop up message that reads:
(%appName%—Error, Connection to Communication Service was lost and could not be restored! GOG Galaxy will now shutdown)

Then it shuts down. What to do about this? Do I just wait for a new update? Is there something else I can do?

I'm on a Mac running OX10.13.1
I am having the same problem with the latest Galaxy 1.2.34 running on macOS 10.13.3.

I'd like to try Galaxy — because it seems to be the replacement for Downloader, and "classic" (i.e., non-Downloader, non-Galaxy) downloads for Mac are unsigned, which causes problems with Gatekeeper — but this is literally a non-starter.

I do have a hacked HOSTS file to block ads and cookies, but it doesn't include any *.gog.com sites so that shouldn't be an issue.

Please post your logs on http://mantis.gog.com - there are instructions there. It would be really helpful to see what's causing the issue for you.
@Galaxy Devs: I know it was a while ago but again I ask why exactly was the banner link for Galaxy removed off the home page? This seems like a bad choice because people still end up not knowing about it, please add it back. People are use to clients being linked on the home page.

Me and several others have the same problem and there are multiple reports, including logs in mantis. These issues already persist for multiple GOG Galaxy versions and make it completely unusable. The problems even resurface after a full MacOS reinstall.

Here is a link to the Might and Magic game series forum. There might be some magical person willing and able to deliver the information you requested.

Hope that helps.

I'm astounded by the very frequent updates to GOG Galaxy. Every update is tens or hundreds of megabytes is size, and I'm stuck on mobile data at the moment.

PLEASE give us a way to OPT OUT of all updates if I choose to as you're destroying my data packages every time I want to explore GOG Galaxy, download a game or look at other game materials.

You can use the /runWithoutUpdating command line switch on the desktop shortcut to prevent Galaxy from updating. Eventually GOG may or may not prevent a really old version from connecting... but that will allow you to use Galaxy online without updating. I assume it still works.

@Galaxy Team: We ran a weekend discussion last week on /r/GOG about the upcoming 1.3.0 update and what users hoped would be included and not surprisingly Linux support was the most requested thing. Just figured I would share.

Hey, I don't know if this question has been raised before, but none of my gog galaxy downloaded games show up on gforce experience, this is a bummer since I use shadowplay to record gameplay and I'd like to take advantage of Ansel in both The Witcher 3 and Hellblade.

Again, I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but I'd like to know if there's a patch being worked on for this problem with the executables not being picked up by gforce experience (I've tried choosing the path where the games are installed but the scans still show no results.)

Thanks in advance :)

Weird... my games show up fine but since you say you have already tried setting the path to the games in Gefore Experience I'm not sure what else you could try. Perhaps this isn't a Galaxy issue but rather a Geforce Experience issue.

I have tried with both Gog Galaxy and the Gog "legacy" downloader, both didn't turn up in gforce experience, I tried these methods for Hellblade and The Witcher 3 to no avail :( if anyone comes up with a solution, quickfix or knows something I don't, don't hesitate to reply!

Once again, thanks in advance!
Hello,

Sorry that my first post has to be a rant but this time i'm fed up with this software !!

I was not really pleased from the beginning with the way it installed itself all over the place without any user control (had to use link junctions to get it of my system SSD).

But yesterday was the last straw : Galaxy started "getting list of files" for "Pillars of Eternity"; that lasted half an hour !!!!
And then it proceded to download 3.6Gb for a 5 Mb patch !
Seriously ?

Are you out of your mind ? Talk about loosing my time !

So i'll just uninstall Galaxy and go back to the old downloader as long as it works.

how do you delete your cloud saves as I was told I have a full cloud for that game then I deleted the saves in my files but it still will not sync as the cloud is full please assist

Some one tried to assist by suggesting I delete the games after I launch and

I did delete them after I launched the game I systematically went through each load and deleted it , then I deleted them in my save game file and still it sees them at the cloud end. So after all that it didnt work unfortunately I can see this is a COG isssue not mine as I did not actually request a cloud save and I purchased this and my partners seperate game not from COG however I am having computer issues now as a result of the cloud connection. My list of games prior to when I go on is empty apart from a few now yet I am still showing over 4,000 saves. Finaly I turned of cloud saves as it wont stop opening up the cog galaxy page just to let me know the sync has not been done. WOW. However when I turned it back on after a couple of times it just started up all over again. I feel cloud saves is a bit of an issue if it dosent recognise only oits own list of files.

This should work from 1.2.35 beta on, not in the normal branch. I guess you don`t have beta enabled?
