== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

bushwhacker2k: Is there a way to make the "screenshot taken" image at the bottom right go away faster- or not pop up at all?

The sound effect is sufficient and the "screenshot taken" image is actually added to subsequent screenshots.
avatar
Liosan: Wait, what? It's added to the next screenshot? In what game? I tested a few and it works fine...
Elex. If I screenshot a few times in a few second the screenshot taken images start piling up.
1.2.28 Beta (October 31, 2017)

- New configuration tools for GOG Galaxy SDK

Hmm I wonder what those "configuration tools" could be. :)
Please stop screwing with my currency!

I'm sick and tired of GOG deciding that it is going to charge me in US dollars, despite the fact that I use the Aussie Dollar.

I've already complained to GOG about this, but they obviously don't give a toss about thier customer's experience. So, today, they've lost about $50 Aussie dollars of sales, because I have no interest in paying bank fees for the dubious pleasure of being forced to buy in a foreign currency.

Other sites, like bookdepository.com allow me to pay for my purchases in Aussie Dollars, so why can't GOG do the same thing?

If I am going to be buying in US dollars, I might as well just buy on Steam.

We have support for AUD. Did you choose AUD as your currency in account and locale settings?

Do you experience any problems with Galaxy Client on that matter? If so, could you try to change the currency in your profile settings from in-galaxy? (your avatar dropdown -> account management) Change it back and forth if it's already set.

Please send back your feedback when you're done. :) If we see any issue there regarding Galaxy Client, we'll add this as a bug to fix.
I wrote this several times already, but it seems like these easy things are still not implemented in GOG Galaxy:

Please give us an option, to

* Turn on the FPS counter "permanently"/on default. So whenever I start a game that supports the overlay, it will show up. Not user friendly at all, to expect from average users to press shift+alt+tab or shift+tab or ctrl+tab.... to enable one simple function!
* Additionally, please make it possible to let us decide in which corner the fps is displayed. Often bottom right corner covers up some in game notifications/maps/indicators.
Sorry if this has been asked before:

I recently noticed that sometimes friends' status show "playing unreleased game". How's that happening?
avatar
toxicTom: How's that happening?
Some people do get access to builds before those are released, mostly for QA. We did get said chance during the Warsaw visit, though we weren't using our own accounts.
It could also be that they are modifying the .info files and they use an ID that Galaxy doesn't recognize, and instead of showing "Unknown Game" it shows "Unreleased game".
There's a serious problem with your GOG Galaxy client simply by having installed on the computer causing crashes in Doom 3: BFG Edition and Galaxy installing itself when using the "Classic" installer that is supposed to not install the GOG Galaxy client without consent that I and another user are discussing here. Please look into this and do something about it.

I don't see anything from the Galaxy client in those screenshots, though I do see a game adding Galaxy support for when (or if) Galaxy is added to that machine. Not sure what Galaxy features Doom 3 has, but it would probably need said files for them to work. Classic installers do not install Galaxy, not Galaxy related files.
No idea about the crashes.

Doom 3: BFG Edition is supposed to have achievement support and possibly multiplayer when playing the game through Galaxy, but sadly for me it has cause nothing but crashes when something happens like attempting to get a high score in the Super Turkey Puncher mini-game, clearing a level on any difficulty in either Doom 1 or 2 within BFG Edition, and simply picking up the Berserk Pack in Doom 2 that caused the game to crash to desktop just by having Galaxy installed on my machine, even without launching the game through Galaxy and playing it straight from its own executable. Strangely I don't have the issue of Galaxy installing itself onto my computer as the other user is having when installing the game with the "Classic" installer for Doom 3: BFG Edition.

The other user doesn't have the issue of Galaxy installing itself either. Doom 3 installs Doom 3 Galaxy files in a location where Galaxy (if/when installed) will find them.
Again, no idea about the crashes, you'd best contact support about them.

I've finished sending my report on the issues through support, hoping they see it and fix the crashes.

kittehoverlord: I don't see an issue with it unless your delicate system is metered by lines displayed; if so, then it hardly effects the sane world.

MarkoH01: Nope it is not. But since there was nothing from the OP specifically the user did respond to it's just not nice to quote the whole OP. If everybody would do this you would be scrolling a lot. It's just a thing you try not to do and if you are new to such things it's nice (at least that is my opinion) if somebody tells you about it. Hey, I did not mean to yell or anything like it - that's why I put a smiley behind it to take the "fire" out of the critizism. It was just meant as a friendly reminder.
He literally responded to the Cloud Save feature news that is located at the top of the OP. If you can't be bothered to read posts, I think it hardly matters how ``friendly'' you are when you tell people their posts don't meet your specific criteria. :|

As for being new to the ``internet'', I hope you find it to your liking and continue to learn and grow.

UltraComboTV: ***Galaxy Launch Bug*** (If your aware, sorry for the double post)

I'm running Galaxy 1.2.27 BETA and while launching the program I recieve this error (Pic1). After I close the prompt Galaxy launches correctly. This seems to have started happening after the last update. I'm using Win7 64, and WinX 64 machines. Its more annoying than a deal breaker, and maybe its just hitting Beta users. Just felt I should mention it.

Thanks for taking a look into this.
Having the same issue. Not using beta however.

Windows 10.

1) There are certain unwritten rules in forums one of them is to not post the whole post if you only want to reply to a part of it - especially if this post is very long, it's not "my" criteria - it's common courtesy in forums.

2) Telling people who don't know these rules how they work without being unfriendly imo is much better than either let them in the dark (until someone else who is not as friendly tells them or being unfriendly when telling them.

3) You really want me to grow? I am 47 and I hardly doubt that I will grow much more. I also use forums for over 20 years so I would hardly say that I am new to the internet.
