2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

bigd1066: any help would be appreciated.... I purchased heroes of might and magic
iii and the download is interrupted around 50% and will not resume....

anyone else had issues? its the first purchase I have made I go into my account games page and click on the link saying
homm3 complete set up...... I this the right way to download?

thanks
This is one way. You could use Galaxy, a client like steam, to download or use a download manager for your browser, like DownThemAll. Both possibilities can use resume.

bakagringo: Thanks for the clarification. I like to see GOG as a pioneer for consumer-friendliness, and I understand that being in that position makes things more rigid. It is not my intention to put you in a bad light, but I would like to stress that with the recent emergence of web-apps, and increasingly privacy-invading systems, I am worried about GOG not having an option to completely disable tracking. By completely, I also mean completely removing trackers such as Twitter buttons (Clearly I also showed the client connects to Twitter). I understand that some users may want to connect their GOG profile to external services, but I would like there to be an option to disable these systems completely for users who do not wish to be tracked. Since you have a client I believe you should be able to do this client-side without using cookies.

Also, while I am able to block the communication with an application firewall on Mac Os, this is slightly more challenging on systems like Windows where networking works differently.

Furthermore, while analytics is mainly for your own purposes, is it limited to you only, or does Google use it for other means as well?

Thanks for the rapid response.

Edit: I meant twitter.
I understand your opinion on tracking and that you're trying to "hide" yourself from it.

Other than website - Galaxy Client doesn't directly connect to google/twitter/fb. I can't respond whether we can add an option to disable all of it on website, but we won't disable re-captcha on demand, which is also "connected to google" - or youtube, which is also google's (although Galaxy downloads only the thumbnail until you play the video). Forum pages have some JavaScript APIs for facebook loaded etc.

I don't know for sure whether google use the data for other purposes than showing us statistics, but I guess they (companies you mentioned) use big data, algorhythms, neural networks to gather some information and e.g. personalize ads for you. It's too much data to use by a person, but big data algorhythms can handle it.
In looking at my Library in the Galaxy client, the game count displayed in parentheses after My Collection appears to be short by one of the number of games listed. When viewing the Library in a regular browser, the number after My Collection is one higher and appears more likely to match the number of listed games.

Are there any games that would not be counted by the Galaxy client but would be counted by the browser?

No, you should see all your games - check system filter (although it shouldn't change the number), there's also hide game option, you can see your hidden games when clicking on "My collection" dropdown.

Try clicking on the "Library" -> "All my games" again as it will refresh the library view.
The bug that removed option to have client exit which clicking the X hasnt been fixed yet :(

As expected, the system filter doesn't change the number displayed in parentheses and only changes which games are listed below. No games are hidden.

Refreshing the Library view as suggested did work to set the number in parentheses to match what is listed.

Thank you
I've been having all sort of issues with version 1.2.10, the main one being Galaxy not closing properly.

More often than not the "Exit" option in the drop-down menu won't do anything, so I'd try and close the client from the traybar and that would do it, or so I thought.
At this point the application wouldn't show in Windows' Task Manager (Win 7 64bit), but all of its processes were still running as if nothing happened, and network resources monitor would show Galaxy hogging all the available bandwidth ignoring the limits rules from the client settings (which it was otherwise respecting before trying to close it).
It seems to be a consistent behaviour with this version, and the only way I'm able to fix it is to manually shut down each of the processes that are somehow still running in the background.

Another "minor" problem I found is Galaxy resuming downloads that were canceled multiple times (not paused), but it's probably related to the above mentioned issue.
From my thread earlier today:

"Is it possible to launch a desktop shortcut which in turn launches said game via Galaxy? The same way Steam does it where you double click the desktop icon and it launches Steam, which directly launches the game. I want to take advantage of Galaxy's cloud support but have the ease of using a desktop shortcut to do so."
I didn't see it somewhere else, but is there a dedicated list for Galaxy titles that use Galaxy's own multiplayer features? From crossplay to simply enabling MP in classic games through Galaxy, I mean. Thanks!

This may be easily trackable by looking at your logs. Please post an issue here, so we can see why it's happening: http://mantis.gog.com/bug_report_page.php
It certainly should not happen, and I would find it quite irritating.

Thanks for the reply.
I searched through the logs but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, which one am I supposed to upload?

Just put them all into a zipped folder and attach them to the report.

That's simple enough to make feel pretty dumb right now...
Thanks!
