I know this is a late reply, but for people asking how to stop forced updates to 2.0 edit your shortcut for GOG Galaxy and add /runWithoutUpdating to the end of the command, i.e. it should look like "C:\Games\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" /runWithoutUpdating in the target box if you installed GOG Galaxy to C:\Games. Version 1.2.66 is still working fine for me.
It is quite irritating to constantly get notices to download 2.0 beta. Beta software should not be pushed out by default. It should be an opt in, not an opt out. Leave me alone until it is out of beta. Give me a check box to opt in to beta builds and leave it unchecked by default. I don't want to run without updates because there may still be bug fixes to Galaxy 1 but I don't want to get shoved into Galaxy 2 beta either. Galaxy 1 isn't completely stable either but seems more stable than 2.
GOG Galaxy keeps going offline and refusing to "connect"

If I close it and relaunch it, it connects and behaves just fine for about 5-10 minutes before saying I'm offline again and failing to go back online.
Hi, i am an extended GOG GALAXY 2.0 + integrations tester.

On the Overview Tab this looks just ugly:

Please, on next update just to scale this would be the easiest solution for now.
Why are you making this horizontal? if you would use a vertical list view it would maybe better.

Great thanks for fixing :)

Fix Galaxy!!

It is always broken. Have been for over a year now.

I will stop buying games completely, until it is fixed.

-Total number of owned games is almost always incorrect.

-"Recently added" list is full of DLC and goodies collections, and whatnot. It becomes hard to navigate.

Seems like a couple of small problems that could be fixed in a minute, yet it has been broken for over a year. You want us to use Galaxy, than freaking fix it! ...or use it yourself!

It took me 5 hours to update Baldur's Gate 3 via Galaxy. Ended up with Galaxy stopped working and closed at 82%.

Fix your garbage galaxy!!!
Is there some kind of trick to getting the achievements to show up? I just started a new game for Leisure Suit Larry WDDD and I'm stuck at 0%. There are supposed to be some easy achievements at the beginning such as pressing CTRL+B and answering the "New Game" age related questions, but neither of which are having any reaction when completed.
I can't install GOG Galaxy as I get the "Unable to connect to GOG.com" error.
I uninstalled my previous installation because I had some problems, as it could not sync savegames or download updates for my games.

Now I can't even reinstall it. I tried with an offline installer, but I can't log in.

EDIT: As someone else said, looks like there is a temporary solution (the problem will happen again soon). Open CMD as administrator and type in "netsh winsock reset catalog", then restart the computer.

EDIT2: Looks like the problem is back on. This time the CMD command is not working.
I would really like to update Cyberpunk 2077, but this issue is not allowing me to do anything.

What's going on with CDRP ?
Cyberpunk is awfully bugged, Galaxy 2 is crashnig at each update; (this thread shows it's long time ago already) and further more it is stil in "beta"...

where is the Polish Slavic quality of work ? Is that tjhe consequence of the Initial Public Offering ?

I redownload the whole Galaxy client to be able to update it . And it's 232 MB , seriously ?!! for a launcher ?!

This.
I had to download an installer for GOG Galaxy 2.0 from a different website since the GOG Galaxy 2.0 launcher from the GOG.com/download website is busted - keeps saying it cannot connect to gog.com.
And now that I have GOG Galaxy 2.0, it keeps saying it's in offline mode and certain features (like installing games) won't be accessible until I "Connect Now". I press the button and it does nothing.

It's incredibly lame that there's legit no way to actually use GOG Galaxy 2.0 - any possibility of refund for game(s) in our library since your software to run them is 110% broken?
Using Galaxy to update most games makes my hd grind and takes longer than using offline installers to update.
It's pretty sad that it's been almost FIVE YEARS since this thread was created. I mean come on GOG, how long does it take to make a client?

It's even MORE sad that apparently not a single Galaxy dev is watching this or talking to us. Shows how much they really care ... even for their beloved Galaxy client.

But in case I am totally wrong and they do in fact watch this:

- Please fix the fact that Galaxy will ALWAYS downnload all DLCs if you just want to install the base game using offline installers.
- Please (maybe I'll have to bribe GOG for them to finally grant my request)!!!! Let me tag and hide games per platform! Technically speaking this isn't even a request, the fact that this is not working is an actual unfixed bug that's been in Galaxy since you released this thing.

Just uninstalled GOG Galaxy because it is a huge POS!!!! I don't like running my windows with an admin account, I use an admin account for admin type issues. I do this just in-case some crappy malware tries to F up my computer. Stupid GOG when it does a game update the update script constantly asks me for permission.. over and over and over again. It should only do this once!! Fix your shit!
hey, as many have probably mentioned, galaxy has stopped tracking game time. It use to work just fine, even when modding and using different executables, but now it has just stopped working. I think about a month ago it just kind of stopped. seems like a small thing, but I enjoy being able to see how much time I've put into different games. and it really is a shame because I like gog galaxy alot. I have not had any other problems with it.

please fix this, and bless you
