kittehoverlord: It could possibly be the number of items on your wishlist that are on sale. I do not even have a number besides my Wishlist label, though I do have items in it that are not on sale.
Unfortunately it's not, because it's higher than the wishlisted games. To be precise, I had 23 wishlisted games and that weird number 29. Then I tried wishlisting another one, and it became 24 - 30.
But yes, our version is different: as of now, I'm running the 1.2.47

I'll keep looking into it. Possibly keep you up to date.

Cheers

Could it be that some of your wishlisted games were removed from the store ?

Sure it could, no way to test it though.
And as of now, the magic number is gone. No Galaxy update as far as I can tell.
I know this is totally unrelated to what the title of the thread mainly asks of its users to discuss, but I just want to humbly request for the inclusion of Sid Meier's Civilization IV®: The Complete Edition into GOG Connect during the next incoming major GOG sales, since I have just purchased the game on steam in an attempt to empty my steam wallet. Thank you :)

Johny.: o_O how did you know

The truth is we're not slowing down with Galaxy Client development.
Hey 2018 is... coming to a close soon. Are we really going to end it without a significant Galaxy update? Time will tell.

Hi, I have an issue with galaxy when trying to chat with a friend while playing gwent.
When I Shift+Tab to show the overlay, it takes several seconds to load my friends list (which contains one person...). When loaded, this person is shown as beeing offline despite playing gwent with me. After another couple of seconds, he is shown online, but when I click on the name, the to-be-chat-window pops up, again loads for several seconds and shows me the attached error message.

And yes, I am online. :D Watching a youtube stream at the same time.

I haven't found any information about that behaviour, sorry, if this is the wrong place. :/

It's not a wrong place. You can monitor and report your logs to this issue (there are instructions when submitting report). I think I have filed it with a different name also.

I've heard it happened for 3 or max 4 users in the span of last 2 years (but consistently for them). Very rare.
You need to improve how Gog galaxy shows the season passes bought. I bought season pass for battletech sometime ago, i buy lots of games etc. so i don't always remember every DLC / season pass i have bought. So i was browsing with galaxy and i started wonder if i had bought season pass for Battletech already. After few minutes of tinkering i was able to find it out with these two methods:

1. Doing store search of season pass, the icon showed "in library"
2. While in store page, i could only buy season pass as gift

This basic thing shouldn't be so hard, you should show the season passes on the game page or somewhere, look how Steam shows all the thing on the game page itself, you don't have to go look for them.

Sooo, make season passes / DLC that user has bought more visible in gog galaxy at the game page and in library. Library doesn't show them at all, or at least i didn't figure it out how you could get them visible in library.

For example on the game page where you now show "available uupgrades" should also have "already bought upgrades". And library should be configurable show it would show DLCs too on the game list.

Why do I now have a "Game overlay" entry in my game library? It shows up in both the Galaxy client as well as the library view in the browser (see screen shot).

I checked this forum to post the same thing. I'm having the exact same issue. I went to the store page and it redirected me to the Witcher 3 Free DLC program.
Since few days I'm having this message every time Windows starts:

"GOG Galaxy - Update problem

There was a problem with updating the application. You can always download the latest version from:

gog.com/galaxy"

I've re-installed the application and still having the problem.

I have:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
16GB
i57400
SSD 500GB
GTX970 (last day updated to a GTX1080 and the problem still happening).

Same problem here, the store page also directs me to the Witcher 3 Free DLC program.
