Well its a possible fix but I'll tell you the problem and the solution I took to fix the problem. It wasn't intuiative but with some logic I figured out WTF was wrong with it.
Problem: When starting the GoG Galaxy, it was giving me the "missing essential components" error message.
Cause: So I knew that a lot of times the redistributable are the culprits in this one so I began to uninstall, the 2012++ x86 and reboot a couple of times then reinstall it afterwards but that didn't fix it. It was still giving me the error. I tried the x64 as well to make sure but nothing at all.
Then I started to dig in the service (services.msc in search command) and looked that gog galaxy service. I found that the executable was still pointing to my c drive. You see, I first installed GoG Galaxy on my C drive then realized my mistake, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it on my games drives (F in my case)... this is when the error started.
so, like I said, the executable for the service of gog galaxy was still pointing to my C drive which had nothing. I realized that when starting the service it told me it didnt find the specified file, so I checked the propreties.
Solution:
I went inside the registry editor (regedit) to the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GalaxyCommunication and modified the imgpath to my right one. In my case its suppose to point to my F drive. Then I rebooted my computer for the changes to take effect and problem solved
