It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi there,

as I was checking the forums today on the Galaxy launcher, weird things started happening that did not happen previously. Every time I go to any different layer in the forum, a page is trying to open in my default webbrowser to a facebook page, with gog.com showing as the origin in the adress (which script blockers in my browser then suppess, so I do not even see a webpage). I do not have facebook to begin with and never made the attempt to connect that with GOG in any capacity, which make this new feature... puzzling. Same thing also happens with my secondary computer

Not that it bothers me that much since I could just not visit the forums to begin with, but I do wonder where this is coming from all of a sudden and how I might stop it from happening.

Yes i can confirm this

Huge issue here, i don t have a Facebook Profile and i ll never have one.
If Galaxy is about to link it, it is a reason to abandon Galaxy for me.

On every click my Firefox gets opened up, link is (heheh blocked by NoScript)
Facebook technical help site, or so.

Please GoG Team can you not, please can you not, link them (if you try that)?

Lets hope this gets fixed soon.

Facebook Cross-Domain Messaging helper

with the text

SECURITY WARNING: Please treat the URL above as you would your password and do not share it with anyone. See the Facebook Help Center for more information.

Thank the Gods its not just me, I've spent the last hour cleaning my PC trying to figure out whats causing this. This needs to be fixed ASAP. I'm not appreciating this virus style redirect.

I filed a ticket on support, hopefully they take a look at this soon.

I'm not sure why this is happening but it's extremely fucking annoying.

I also have the same issue here, and have opened a ticket to support as well.

It really spooked me the first time I saw it... at first I didn't relate it to Galaxy acting up, and I honestly thought I got some odious malware in my system.

Normally I'm rather forgiving with GOG's many glitches and pesky bugs, but this is too much. Far too much.
I don't want to be redirected to FB (or any other unwanted link).
I hope this get fixed soon.

That said, I can't understand how people put up with browsing the forum using Galaxy, when using a browser with Barefoot Essentials and Adalia Fundamentals is just a hundred times more comfortable...
so it wasn't supposed to be a redirect it's a i frame that broken going by looks of it
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16862207/facebook-and-cross-domain-messaging-clarification

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-Facebook-Cross-Domain-Messaging-Helper

it basically allows to cross login that a slot of sites use so the facebook logion on gog or mixer you can log into with twitter or discord so thats what's going on

So this is happening to me also. So, does Galaxy contain any facebook code or api linkage? If so, and i am unable to escape facebooks tracking using galaxy, then i guess that was that for me and GOG. So is the galaxy client communicating with facebook in the background?
