Destro: ....
If you know there is a new update and do not want to wait, then as per skeletonbow's suggestion above, restarting the Client would be a suggested way to force the Client to check for new version...
Thank you! Also, thank you for developing something wonderful!
So...
I had a strange occasion when I installed AVP Classic 2000 from the client but I closed Galaxy (I thought closing the window would just hide the window but I was wrong) before the installation process would have finished. I found it strange that doing so did not stop the installation rather it finished installing the prerequisites for AVP Classic 2000 then closed their own processes. When restarted the client, it did a repair though.
Haven't found any other issues yet which can be considered as a major bug yet.
About the UI:
* I find the Search box a little confusing as it's not clear at first that it only search in your installed games (that was not just me, someone else even filled a bug report on mantis about that thinking it does nothing).
* On the other hand, there's no "one-click" way to search games in the Store. You go to the "Store" section then you still have to click "Browse games" before you can search.
* It could be great if I could go to the store page for the games I have. I sometimes find fun to check out the store screenshots, game description, user reviews and such. To do that currently, I have to go to the Store and locate my game manually
* If I put something to the cart then I go to "Checkout now" to visit the checkout page there are some suggestions below: "You might also like" and there comes a few games listed. You can add them to the cart by clicking on the price, but you cannot visit their store page to find out more about them. It would be great if clicking them would take me to the Store page.
Disclaimer: I know it's an alpha product and not sure if you need any UI things put in here at all as it's gonna change a LOT but getting these might be useful for later development.
Edit: another thing I noticed.. if I check out the extras for a game, there's no way to see if they are downloaded. So if I click ten times on the "Manual" for a game in the Downloads section it gets scheduled and downloaded ten times
