This worked great. Thank you.

I hate having these dumbass launchers, super frustrating to troubleshoot this stuff when you just want to play. Boo to GOG for Galaxy, big old dislike.

You don't have to get Galaxy though...
I have had this problem and I delete the lock file... but it just ends up happening again.

Троксевазин с галантамином должны помочь
I wrote an automatic solution (a bit old school I admit) but it works.

I just got this problem when I restarted my computer. It was working fine before restarting (well, at least the last time I looked at Galaxy) but refused to start once my computer started up again. Before, it has worked just fine when restarting the computer. Perhaps this bit can be of use when fixing this issue...

Anyway, I got the issue resolved by deleting the lock file as mentioned by others above, so all good now.

This helped me too, thank you! You're a lifesaver!
This might sound strange, but my path is different, maybe because I updated to Galaxy 2.0?

C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\GOG Galaxy .... missing the folder "Galaxy" and "lock-files"

Anyone know what to do???

EDIT: Never mind, I fixed it. Doing a copy/paste of the path actually found that folder. I didn't know there was a "ProgramData" one... -_-
