I thought that thing was supposed to be released by now but maybe I am wrong. I don't visit here too often anymore unless I hear about something of note like the Lucas games, etc. However, I do own a lot of games here and I might like the client to access and play them depending on how it all turns out.

So, is it late? Really late? On time? ETA for release of 1.0 finished version? Basic features it'll have?

I saw a lengthy alpha thread and didn't want to read all that trying to just figure out where they are with the thing and get my questions above answered. So I'll say thanks in advance if somebody would be so kind as to give me a summary of what's been going on around here lately.

Downloading games work, though not all games are currently supported. Game files are downloaded uncompressed, so larger data usage than installers. Can't download installers or extra content yet, but it's a planned feature. For more info, sign up for the alpha testing.

P.S. Unsure about platforms, only testing the Windows one.

Thank you. I never alpha or beta test anything myself. I have trouble keeping up with the finished games I own so no time for that. I'll just wait for whenever they have a finished release I guess and see what I think of it then. I hope it turns out well. I was someone who quite a while ago was among those calling for this despite some pretty harsh criticism from other folks about it. I felt then and still do that the catalog and customer purchase numbers were just too big to manage on a web page bookshelf anymore. I see another issue with missing games cropped up in a post elsewhere and that to me kind of validates my feelings on that. It's been a problem before. I would hope a client would never have such issues.

Hopefully the client brings some nice game and community features to the table as well which would add value to shopping here.
