● I have a decent computer to play all my classic games; I don't care if it's a gaming ● computer or a computer with a jet engine. xD

● I don't know why my GOG launcher is lagging and my computer is freezing so much.

● I even have 8 GB of RAM in my computer, so it shouldn't be a problem, right?

Do I need to upgrade it to 16 gigabytes? or upgrade my graphics card (GT 710)?

It's probably just Electron being a pile of junk; it's the Unity of WebApps. Github used to have the Atom editor which had similarly rotten performance compared to peers.

If GOG Galaxy was running in a native toolkit, it'd perform better. Unfortunately, it behooves them to have a poorly built web sandbox instead.

If it's a hardware limitation, then you have to diagnose it yourself. Somewhere has to be a bottleneck.
What's your CPU / RAM / GPU usage while running Galaxy? Anything maxing out?

Slow as molasses in January at The Arctic Circle. An auditor might describe it as sunk costs, and write it off. ;--))
