I mean seriously, for points, having the poison doctor try to keep the Poisoners alive makes sense, but from a theme point it doesn't. Just as I would have been happy flipping a coin or rolling a die for the right to the hammer. End of the day, I would have been happy a Guilder died. It didn't have to be by my hands.
As a meta observation, at least from where I sit, part of the issue seems to be that we've had a long string of games that have been quite complicated and with one wrinkle or another that have left people confused and/or disgruntled:

game 28: "town guard of arsonist"
game 29: flipped roles - scum alignment cop and doctor, town 2x role cop and roleblocker and a stats cop where some stats were just flavor and others were, apparently, crucial
game 30: yog's table-flipping claim party
game 31: the "crisis event" mechanic, PM issues and mod interference, ultimately aborted
game 32: no town at all (and 1 team wins a flawless victory despite never figuring out how the NK works)

We wrapped up the year with the very quick lovers' game, and the blink-of-any-eye roulette game, but we haven't really had a meaningful return to "normal" at least in my tenure here, and we tend to rush on from one game to the next without really pausing for breath. Perhaps we've had too much palate-cleansing, and not enough meat and potatoes?

There are also a few players a bit on edge for any number of reasons (RL, vast play-style differences, inter-personal squabbles), and if you include the roulette game we've had a player mod-killed each of the past two games.

Just my own observations. Others will certainly disagree.

If they disagree, then they are just plain wrong. ;)

What's the quote?

"It's a free country. You're allowed to be wrong."

another reason pancakes are better than waffles:

you don't get fluffiness like this from waffles!

these are about 3/4" thick, with a crisp outside

I vote for the theme of the next mafia game to be The Great Pancake/Waffle War.

Edit: I love how all 3 of us post at once as soon as we see pancakes.

Make those yourself?

EDIT: Yes, it's amusing, isn't it.

If you made them yourself, you could submit the photos to this giveaway. I'd accept them as entries.

Well my partner mixed the batter, I cooked them on the griddle. I had already spent a lot of time preparing the breakfast potatoes+onions+peppers, frying the bacon, so while I did that she mixed the batter.

and then I spent an hour making 7 pancakes because they took so long to heat through and cook properly because they were soooo frikken thick. but, they were the best ever we've made! the yoghurt we used in them was verrrry thick, which made them super-flufffffffy

Just testing self-quotes. No need to get your knickers in a knot.

Dang. Here I thought I had gone far enough back that no one would still have this favourited. And who simply hangs around the general discussion watching the new posts?
Ohhh...
