StingingVelvet: The "no DRM ever" policy is everywhere on the site, including the Galaxy download page. Some have always freaked out and worried it might change any day now, but I don't see how GOG could ever do that considering the big deal they've made out of it...

Lifthrasil: Well, they made a big deal out of a lot of things they later abandoned:
One world, one price (abandoned for regional pricing).
All games available everywhere (until they introduced region blocking)
Only complete editions with all extras included (now they sell DLC and extras have to be bought extra)
Galaxy always optional (it isn't for Gwent)
No micro-transactions (...Gwent)
Since GWENT by CDPR has loot boxes and is handled by GOG, it might very well mean, that GOG will have to either abide by the same rules as casinos do in the future or will have to remove it from the site and maybe make an own storefront for it.
I like where this is going.

I hope that Belgium can push the classification of loot-boxes (and other randomized micro-transactions in games) as gambling through in the EU. That would make it more difficult for the publishers to exploit their customers.

Already covered most of this in my later post. I'm not saying GOG hasn't had to change a bit to offer newer games and expand. They have, for sure. However at the same time has there been a persistent high level of paranoia and rage over every possible question mark? Yes, for sure. It just gets tiring at some point.

Everyone with any common sense knows why Gwent will require an always online server connection. It's a million years away from requiring of that to play Fallout or Witcher 2 or whatever, which is what people are always freaking out about.

Hi elcook, could you please tell us what the status of the 'project wish restoration' is? It's been almost a month now since this bug was reported and it has become awfully silent on the GOG site.

And while you're at it, could you have a look at this thread (or ask one of your fellow blues to do so): https://www.gog.com/forum/general/nine_parchments_loot_box_fiasco_cant_open_them_without_internet_1
and give a statement about the content in single player, that seems to be locked if one isn't online? I hope that's just a bug too!

It seems to be restored mostly although the formatting seems to be of. Can only read half of it.

Good Job GOG!

What are you talking about? Nothing has changed.

Oh, you're right. I mixed it up yesterday with the other top wish (https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site). Well, I take back the good job and add: "there are even more problems, please fix them too, GOG.".
Post edited December 14, 2017 by Trilarion
Well, maybe in 2018 they can fix it.
That's a relief. You almost got me there. Cheers for the good news.
Obviously someone is sitting at GOG HQ soldering transistors to build the computer that can be used to fix the problem.

New year, new hope. After I got the follwing reply from elcook a month ago, I've been quiet about this matter.

"Hi! Sorry, I cannot provide you with any ETA. The thing is being worked on, but unfortunately is not our priority. We're currently preparing all the stuff for holiday season and this takes most of the devs workforce. Thanks for your patience."

But now that the sales and holiday times are over, I think you and I can raise the pressure again!

You gotta read between the lines. It says "we don't make money with this, so this will never be corrected. Better buy some more games and stop complaining."
I need more upset people here!
