bigblueogre: Being DRM-Free is a primary reason why I switched over to GOG.

If GOG deleted a wish titled "Be optional till the end of days", I'm disheartened.

:/
Bother to read GOG's official statement on page 3 of this same thread.

elcook: Hey all! Thanks for bringing this up!
So let me clarify, we're not stepping back from GOG Galaxy being optional - the client is optional and will remain like that. The situation we have here, with the merge of both wishes is a bug. We're investigating what happened and will try to restore it to the previous state.
Thanks you for the clarification. I think it's just fair when I insist on some form of reparation, like an "in progress" marking to show GOGs good will?

I notice that the original wish still has not been restored. Could you please comment on the progress of that? Are you still working on fixing the error that led to this accidental merger/re-direct? Or should we just re-create the wish?

As stated above, we will restore the original wish.

Of course, will do!

Lifthrasil: Now, if you could get some dev to comment on this very worrisome thread too, I would be happy!

How about restoring fronzelneekburm's 'No regional censorship on gog EVER!' wish list entry while you're at it?

Thank you. I have seen that announcement and it is better than nothing. But as I said in the other thread, unfortunately they still don't explain what Kicinski meant by 'service type games'. 'Games as a service' are the opposite of DRM-free games. So that expression worries me quite a bit and as long as CDPR doesn't state clearly that Kicinski was talking bullshit and Cyberpunk will be completely DRM-free and NOT a 'service type' game, I will remain wary.

Seems to be not a trivial thing. Hopefully, the bug will not hit again at another place.

either that or it's far down on their to do list.

No offense intended. We don;t know what's on their to do lists. There may be more important things for them to do with higher priority.\

Like um....

Well there's of course....

And don;t forget that they need to um.....

Ah screw it. We all know they're sitting there playing Risk. :)
Must be a really tough challenge to solve this "bug"...

As someone who has done programming for nearly 2 decades, yes, sometimes bug fixing is hard.

And again, there may be other priorities.

edit: Makes me wonder if there were others that got merged and if it's a bigger problem than this single report.

If I would have to guess. I would say, that they are doing nothing and waiting this out like a lot of other things. Typical GOG. I don't think, this "bug" is intentional, but more like incompetence.
