You need to drop the imaginary victim act and deal with reality. You've had plenty of polite feedback, you just don't want to hear it. I agree with the others. Your degrading comments towards key donors dismissing games that were purchased and given away by generous people as "left-overs" for not being premium enough for your indecisive tastes sounds unbelievably selfish and ill-thought out. Maybe you do need to take a break from the giveaways so you can better appreciate what Community Spirit actually is. It certainly isn't the raging self-entitled crusade of negativity you've brought to this topic, and I can see why the previous admin banned you for falsely accusing people of "personal attacks" that are nothing more than your oversensitivity to entirely valid criticism of your chronic ungratefulness.

Read this back as if someone else wrote it : "Why stop there? Maybe we could have some people get two or more titles. Like we could have a list of top best Gog forum posters each month. The number one favored ranker can get 10 of their most desired games with first pick and number ten in the list only getting two. Everyone else can be given one game by random and be grateful for the lovely surprise of having no idea what game they will get of the left overs."

And listen to how that sounds. It's the same chronic jealously and "everyone else is being treated better than me" that you claim you "didn't write and that others are putting words into your mouth". When people quote that back, it's not an "Toxic Ad Hominem", YOU wrote it yourself and the 'tone' of your posts matches that consistently. No-one is misquoting or "attacking" you at all for commenting on how bad it sounds when you start mocking the same people who have been donating free games and also sound like you see other participants here as just 'things' that get in your way...

This has simply gone too far, myconv.

You exposed your suggestions. When nobody agreed with you, you started writing negative posts, despising some generous donations as "leftovers" and even pointing out at favouritism.
When some users reacted and answered to that posts, you started playing the victim and accusing the rest of toxicity and personal attacks.

You may not use bad language, but your annoying attitude isn't polite at all. Such belligerent attitude is just another form of rudeness.

I've had enough patience and explained you the rules every time you needed it.
I've recommended you several times, both in public and in private, to lay down that attitude and be positive. But you have ignored all advices.

Sadly, right now I see no better option than to ban you again from the giveaway. I'm sorry, but this thread doesn't need this kind of disputes anymore. You had your second chance and you ruined it.

I just wanted to defend myself against toxic personal attacks. To get people to recognize how they are hurting me and stop it.

I stopped discussing the topic of how the giveaway might work like you commanded LS.

You didn't forbid me from standing up to myself. So it's totally unfair for you to now punish me for standing up for myself.

It was a sarcastic response to someone expressing that favoritism of more active and liked posters is good.

As far as "leftover" goes. alot is artificially spun up and made of the use of the word like people don't even know what it means https://www.dictionary.com/browse/leftover

The sarcastic (sarcastic means saying the opposite of what you mean to make a point etc) scenario is voting for who's best of the Gog Posters and those who ranked high in the popularity vote getting more and first pick, then everything else would be what would be LEFT OVER after they picked.

See you have so much of something, people take some of that, what is left, is leftover! It says nothing about the quality of what is left over, for it to be a "leftover". That last slice of pizza may be just as good as the first one, but it's still a "leftover"!

You mean all this personal attack is because some people don't understand this phrase? I got banned because LS doesn't know what "leftover" means?!? Astounding.

You have a portion of truth: you mostly stayed within the specific written rules of the giveaway. Others have their part of the truth: there has been a failure at meeting less specific rules. Also, you called people trolls and mean ones fast, instead of considering that they meant well and they had nothing against you, but against your behavious and what it was causing. Who knows if that is from lack of empathy or any other reason.

That is not important now.

Please consider a couple of things:

1) The wild possibillity that there is not a conspiracy of mean people against you, but people appalled by your sustained behaviour. A behaviour that Lone_Scout and others hoped that could change.

2) Can you do this?: Sacrifice pride and frustration and, even if you did not realize what were the things that went wring, at least try to make things easier for Lone_Scout. It is not easy to do what they just did. So, can you be generous to him and the rest of people in the thread and prevent yourself from saying anything that would upset others? Even if you believe that you are in the right.

Just be humble for once(not a fake but the real thing), swallow it, and if you can find it in yourself, apologize in case you inadvertently caused unintended harm.

People will respect that.

More likely than not, you will feel better for that, too.

If you like the community in GOG, you can always stay around, try to contribute something. Even participate in other giveaways respectfully. Who knows...

I first tried to keep the topic solely in the realm of intellectual debate. But repeated toxic personal attacks against me and no one actually discussing the topic made that impossible.

Then LS commanded me to not discuss my ideas anymore, so I stopped discussing my ideas as ordered, clearly it was impossible anyway.

But toxic attack posts falsely accusing me kept appearing.

I asked people to stop treating me like shit, but they kept at it. I posted in PM so my requests people stop mistreating me, don't fill the thread, and was criticized for it. Denying that there was anything toxic or insulting about their toxic insulting posts.

So I dissected a couple posts showing how toxic, how insulting, and how false it was.

And here we are.

If people keep on attacking me and falsely accusing me, I may defend myself and tell the truth again, or not, who knows.

If you want to assure I don't stand up for myself here, then I'm not the one to talk to about changing behavior.

And the words themselves are hypocritical Carradice, saying I need to be respectful of others peoples feelings as I tell them to respect mine and not falsely accuse me (including you Carradice). So at least a couple layers of hypocrisy

Knowing ahead of time is a rarity. The only reason why some of us knew the potential pool of additions Doc was giving us was he said well ahead of time in his thread (a thread which sat here for over a month) that he would have games left over from his GA to donate to Lone_Scout's one. He didn't specific WHEN those would be donated or released. In fact it was up to Lone_Scout - those games might have been released as a trickle over the rest of the year for all we knew.

If you happened to be a regular forum user and bothered to read the thread in question, then you got a little "sneak peek" on possible games. If you didn't read this thread, didn't even bother to watch the amazing fight club creativity going on in there even once then that's too bad I guess.

So if you believe we were all there, fully in the knowledge of what was available and ready to "fire" a request the moment it landed, then you're mistaken. I didn't personally have a shortlist of the potential additions handy at the time, I just read the list and made a request. I don't see how that's so hard to do.

Someone earlier argued that we didn't need a preview of what the games were going to be because those giveaways revealing it would be a semi regular thing, or something like that.

I appreciate your civil on topic discussion post, but no one else seems interested in discussing that suggestion topic.

Furthermore I had some people treat me like shit with false slanderous accusations and then I've been banned from the giveaway for standing up for myself and stating how it really is.

So I don't really care how the giveaway goes. LS can give all games in the giveaway to whoever is most toxic as far as I'm concerned, since it doesn't effect me anymore. LS, I thought you were better than this. But you won't even talk to me or give me a chance to comply to your wishes.

Combat always has to have two sides willing to engage in it...as soon as EITHER side decides it is out of the question, then there can be zero battle. These rules are fairly true. Reasons being why most refuse to be the one to cease any battle is they are afraid of "losing" yet when two people engage in violence of any sort and one side becomes hurt the one who is still standing thinks they are the winner...Still most of us understand the basics...when violence is enacted both sides lose. Best when both sides reconcile, yet again this takes courage. I am quite sure though that such things are possible. It can even be a good practice run sometimes because often-times it is a lot EASIER to do these things over the net than face to face...good training. My recommendation for the currently banned is to remember some of these basics, it is likely YOU should make the first move to apologize SIMPLY because you are in an easier position to do so. All you have to do is avoid the urge to strike back every time you THINK (beLIEve) someone attacks you (or if they are actually attacking you). Sure it can be hard, yet think about that practice run...you are going to come up with situations in life that are a LOT more serious than this one, where you can be dealing with life or death situations. Knowing WHEN to defend yourself (or loved ones), and when to be pacifist can be key to that survival. Way more important than something involving a few free games! I wish you well though (myconv), and surely I wish Lone Scout & the Free give-away they run the same!

I'm sorry, but what? This just comes out of nowhere and seems to have little to do with the topic.
Not to mention apologizing for that Zero Tolerance bullshit in schools where if you are ambushed, pushed into a corner, and 5 guys are trying to beat the crap out of you with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide you are still held equally accountable for "CHOOSING to fight" as the guys who ambushed you. "It takes two to fight, if one person refuses to fight there will be no fight" is dangerously naive.

I would like to ask: Is there a way to buy two copies of the same game in the same purchase (the games to be in the same receipt sheet)? I don't see a "number of copies" dropdown menu, as there is in non-gaming sites (e.g. pharmacy stores).
One copy would be for me and the other to the Community Giveaway.

Probably nope. Even when I try to buy as a gift option, I can purchase only one copy. I believe, you should to do two separate orders.

No. If you're worried about dealing with transaction fees, purchase wallet funds in a single transaction.

I cannot buy a game as a gift, why? - GOG Support Center

And more importantly, the entire order is the gift. It wouldn't make sense to have multiple copies in a single gift code.
