I am not remotely what anyone would call a rampant feminist. I just get on with my life, stand up for myself and any other woman I think is being treated shoddily, and hope that women like me get the same rights as every guy.

But, when I just watched the 10 Years of GOG.com video (which is really nice, btw, guys), I have to say I was a tad surprised to see just men featured on the video. (And just white men, at that).

Come on, GOG, there are women that work in the gaming industry and support you.

Surely, you could have found one to feature in the 10 Year Anniversary? And not be like half the folks in the gaming industry -- insistent it's a men only world. Because that's what that video makes it look like (and again, it's a nice video, bar for the absence of anyone not male :) )

Love you guys, don't buy my games anywhere else, so would have also liked to see at least one sole woman (or for that matter even a non-white guy) in your vid :)

Just a thought to keep in mind for the future!!!

And congrats on your 10th Anniversary. Love that you exist :)

Why would I be kidding?

If GOG's 10 Year Anniversary video was all women talking about how much they loved GOG and GOG games, I guarantee half of the male GOG users would have something to say about it.

Women make up 50 percent of the gaming world (look it up), yet we are excluded in so many ways. This is just another of them.
Kinda strange since lots of GOG's Twitch Channel streamer past and present are female.

My thoughts exactly.

I watch a fair number of GOG's Twitch streams, so know they have a decent representation of women. Just very odd to see only white guys featured in a 10th anniversary video :)

And honestly, I don't think most men exclude women deliberately. They just don't think about including then, because they are so used to living in a male-dominated world.

Then a women comes along and goes "Hang on a minute..." :)

All I say to guys that say it's not a big deal though is put yourself in our shoes. How long would you put up with women only anything :)

"Apparently women don't support GOG or play GOG games"

I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty low percentage given the kinds of games GOG sells (especially the old games from a time when most gamers probably were nerdy guys, other than The Sims I think) - and how small GOG is compared to Steam. There are a number of women who work at GOG though, of course.

In any case it's an opportunity for you to make your own video celebrating or chastising GOG or both. Just remember, tits or gtfo.

It's a Polish company...should they import some token blacks just to fulfill diversity requirements?
I really hope you're trolling.

Edit: Mistook videos

I think that asking them to feature a broad spectrum of people in order to reflect a cultural, racial and sexual cross section of population just for sake of representing everybody is a little bit ridiculous.

There are people like that there. They're also like michael jackson and dwarf women from LOTR so I can see your confusion.

WTF does it being a Polish company have to do with including women or non-whites?

First of all, the men they featured were from all over the world. (Did you even watch the video?)

Second, have you ever been to Poland? Do you actually think there are no non-white people in Poland because, if so, you really need to get out more.

And third -- gotta say loving most of these comments as they are so indicative of why most white men simply do not GET why women (and non whites) are so tired of being excluded, because most of you don't even seem to think it exists.

Like I've said though, put yourself in our shoes. If all of a sudden everything was all female or all non-white all the time, we would NEVER hear the end of it.

Must be nice to grow up in a world where you never for one second think you are excluded. Why? Because you're not.
It is very likely an oversight or a high coincidence that the video turned out the way you felt it did. As you said, GOG does employ women. Some of the blues are ladies themselves. Perhaps, they are all having a time-off, a well-deserved break off work in celebration of GOG's anniversary, instead of having to appear on a stream? That would be a way to relax certainly!

I will say that I was quite saddned that Boupe (one of GOG Stream Teams more well known streamers) wasnt in it. Rather GOG opted to use people who I have never heard of or don't watch.

Were any of the people that featured in it actual GOG Streamers or was it just that they sometimes might stream GOG Games, and are just big players in the Youtube community?
Oh good grief, enough with this forced diversity nonsense. Can we consider this political and lock it please?
