JDelekto: I used to work for Civil attorneys as a legal assistant. Trust me, the wheels of justice can't be greased enough to make any sensible judge in their right mind not throw this away.
Both of my grandparents were attorneys. Of course that was at the turn of the century so things may have changed since then so I don't know how valid their advice would be.

Of course things change over time, like all of the 'laws' that are signed. It's like being a computer programmer and having to learn the changes to the language (as well as the libraries it uses).

You can usually get the latest rules of civil or criminal procedure for your state or country, it's a matter of making the effort to find it.
