This reminds me of buying Wasteland 2 some time in the past. A month later the game was for half the price that I paid for it. Another few weeks later it was a free giveaway. :) Don't worry! At least you supported the developers and GOG with your money!

Those are the reasons I'm not reaching for the refund button. Had this been a AAA game on Steam, I probably would reach for that button.

Nice giveaway, although I already have bought both games long ago.

But unfortunately this giveaway comes with yet another drawback for loyal customers, no more gift codes when you already own the gifted games. So GOG went from unlimited gift codes to gift codes with a short expiration time to no more gift codes at all on giveaways. :(

Dogmaus: People who are into the genre will probably have them already, but it's a nice gesture after Benoit Sokal departure. Return to Mysterious Island is another game by him that is currently on sale for some change.
You can vote for its sequel to be on GOG here:

wolfsite: Thanks for the reminder *voted*
Well done. 2 postillas:
Silly me, I got confused with Benoit Hozjan, Kheops’ CEO.

And that I forgot to mention another (very cheap) game by Sokal here on GOG, Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy, that I was just reminded of in the Syberia Eyes on the Game.
I still have to play it but I'm intrigued by the title as there's a Canardo book with that title (the Amerzone). If you like antho characters in adult oriented stories Inspector Canardo is a MUST!

Just "buy" it again and you'll get a gift code.

Also a good move to generate interest given that a remake (reboot?) is in the workings. Return to Mysterious Island is another game by him that is currently on sale for some change.

As for me, I would have preferred the third installment of the series, that I don't own yet, but oh well.

my name is capitayn catte: I'm not aware of Benoit Sokal's involvement in Return to Mysterious Island, are you sure about that? You might be thinking of Sinking Island.
you're right, my few neurons remembered a Benoit involved but it was the CEO at Kheops, Benoit Hozjan. Pardon.

Wow, on sale for less than a Dollar. And I thought I was getting it cheap when I was buying it for $2. :P

The times I was doing that to support GOG are gone already. Or do you mean to "buy" the bundle for free instead of the individual games? At least for me that seems not to be possible as long as the giveaway runs.

MarkoH01: Actually it is a sequel to Syberia 3 which you could clearly see in the free demo already.
thanks! So sorta Syberia 4! I haven't played it yet as I've never played S 3!

If you make a new free purchase you are given a GOG key on the webpage, but not in the mail. I don't know if the codes will be working, but they expire in 2199 or so.
Clarification: not from the homepage banner but on the bundle page, put in the cart and buy.

Reading the whole thread actually helped. But that possibility probably is not intended. ;)
Thank you again GOG for another free game!
Awesome! Thank you!
So this is just one of the reasons why I always check with GOG when I want to buy a game. If I'm going to spend my hard-earned money somewhere, this is where I choose to do so. Thanks GOG.

Can't you get a refund in that case and then just get them via the promotion? Contact Support and see what they say.
Thanks for this special giveaway, GOG and Microids! :)
Two amazing games! Thank you!
