Hello everyone,
I hope the winter sale and the holidays have left your games library overflowing. As for me, I was fortunate enough to be able to buy two games I consider special, plus one I haven't played that I know by reputation. I humbly offer them here.
How to enter
One prize per person. First state which games interest you in order of preference. Then in keeping with the general theme of the giveaway, share one standout memory of bonding or quarreling with a friend or family member. You're also free to do this without entering the giveaway if you like; simply say "Not in" instead of picking a game.
How long
The giveaway will end January 15th, around 10 PM UTC.
How to claim a prize
Your privacy settings must allow chat messages from everyone when the giveaway ends.
What's on offer
Oxenfree
A story and dialog-focused game. You spend time with friends, choose how to respond to them, unravel a mystery together, and brave the horrors that unfold.
Collectibles fill out the backstory a bit.
Without getting into spoilers, if you start the game through GOG Galaxy and allow it Internet access, you may find a small added element to the story. It's not by any means necessary and won't diminish the experience if you play offline.
You may find replay value in making different choices the second time around.
Pinstripe
A family story with personality in spades. The artwork is lovely, the world is bizarre and intriguing, and the voice acting is quirky.
It's quite a laid back experience. The horror theme is never outright scary, and it mixes with oddball humor here and there. Gameplay is not challenging, consisting of simple puzzles, easy platforming and shooting.
It's a short game, but you may find replay value in going through it again with the developer's commentary enabled.
Broken Sword: Director's Cut
Animated point-and-click adventure game. I haven't played it myself, but I've heard of the series, and it was recommended to me by someone whose opinion I value. (Please refer to the store page or external sites for screenshots)
Edit no. 1:
• Made the tentative end date definite.
• Clarified that though there's only one prize per person, you can enter for multiple games.
Edit no. 2:
• The winners have been announced in post 22.
