In order to draw attention to the fascist goatfuck that is the TPP, I'll give away this nice little indie title:

* * * FTL: Advanced Edition * * *

RULES:
Tell me you're in.

DESCRIPTION:
FTL is a deep and entertaining roguelike-like where you are controlling a space ship. Plan the best route, manage your crew, upgrade your ship ... and learn to pick your fights wisely. The combat is in real time, but you can pause it at any time. While simple and whimsical, FTL has won a shitload of awards and really sucks you in.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------

... Okay, funtimes over. A few of the TPPs dangerous peices:

— Compel ISPs to take down websites WITHOUT ANY SORT OF COURT ORDER, just like SOPA. (Appendix Section I)

— EXTEND THE US’S COPYRIGHT REGIME to require copyrights stand for life plus 70 years, - preventing anyone from using works that belong in the public domain. (Article QQ.G.6)

— CRIMINALIZE WHISTLEBLOWING by extending trade secrets laws without any mandatory exemptions for whistleblowers or investigative journalists. (QQ.H.8)

— END ANONYMITY ONLINE by forcing every domain name to be associated with a real name and address. (Article QQ.C.12)

— MAKE IT ILLEGAL to unlock, modify, or generally tinker WITH A DEVICE YOU OWN. (Article QQ.G.10)

(The worst part is that this is just from ONE of the tpp’s 30 chapters)

“The big losers in the TPP are patients and treatment providers in development countries... the TPP will still go down in history as the worst trade agreement for access to medicines in development countries.”
- Doctors Without Borders

“The TPP would cost lives.”
- Peter Maybarduk (Program Director for Public Citizen’s Global Access to Medicines)

TPP sucks. We should TP the home of the people who invented it. I hear they leave in a tipi near Teepee Creek.

FYI, I'm not in for FTL.

Not in, but +1 for you.
TPP = poop (pardon my excessive rage and foul language)
The basic thing people should know about TPP is that it is not a free trade agreement. Rather, it is something which takes power away from the democracy and the legal system, and gives that power to the corporations. For instance, an ISP can be forced to take down a site without the legal system being involved. And then there's ISDS which means that if a government makes any decision which influence the perceived future profits of a corporation, that corporation can sue the government for full compensation.

Don't you worry - I have plenty of anger left for the TTIP, which also is infested with ISDS.

But, to keep the anger aflame, I have collected some songs on the theme of 'plenty pissed off':

KANYE WEST: Blkkk SkkkN Head
FIGHT: Into the Pit
NAPOLEON XIV: They're Coming to Take me Away
THE PRODIGY: Firestarter
THE SEX PISTOLS: Anarchy In The U.K
NICK CAVE: Mercy Seat
I am not in and i fully support that. I am with you. Alas, i cannot use my social media, i myself killed them off quite some time ago, because i was victim of hacking, profiling, forging and creation of entire fake accounts, from "friends". Long story short, i now maintain only one or two stalker and stealth profiles, just to locate people and places of interest, so i cannot link anything, sorry...

I also predict this is a loosing battle. The economic depression doesn't help, either; neither it leaves any more breathing space. Besides, everyone says only "investments" can save the economy AND THE PEOPLE from drowning and DYING. Gunpoint enforced treaty coupled with lack of both economic and defensive independence of the receiving edge, will make it instantly accepted without anything as much as a single objection, or simple inspection of any part of it. Simple as that, really...

Only hope is hostilities to erupt. Like a european (or located in europe) country to aggravate/poke, stinking/old/greasy uncle sam. Sad as it sounds, this would effectively block all the sh*t, pacific fans are blowing all over the way to here.

Well I was against ACTA and now of course against The Triple Trade Treaty Threat => TPP-TTIP-TISA since then we will be slaves to corporations forever.

Thanks for this topic and giveaway and I''m IN!

P.S. I think that TISA is the most dangerous because if that is implemented, fresh water sources (which my county has plenty of) will be taken from countrys/people and given to corporations!!!

;-)

When I encountered the idea of privatization of water sources in SLEEP DEALER, I found the idea a bit too far out, even in a sci-fi movie. Crazy world.
