What's that I hear you saying? Nehrim is already free to download for all? And you can get it here (scroll down for non-Steam version)?

You're absolutely right! But you still need to own and install The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY first, in order to play this fabulous total conversion mod instead. And rumour has it, a few GOGlodytes still don't have it in their library, which is a pity, as it means they won't be able to experience Nehrim! Do you happen to be one of these poor souls? Then post in this thread, stating that you want to participate in the giveaway, and optionally ask about Nehrim!

This flash giveaway will only run for a very short time, since the code has an expiration date. The sooner you post, the better your chances for winning.

The offline installers at the bottom of the page linked to above should work with the GOG version.
I've got a disk version of oblivion somewhere, thought not sure if my disk drive works at the moment. Would that work?
For those who haven't played Nehrim, it's great and highly recommended. There's also the sequel Enderal, a total conversion for Skyrim- also highly recommended.

Do you mean CD version? I didn't think Morrowind came on diskettes, and Oblivion took multiple CDs. I shudder to think how many floppies it would take to install Oblivion.
I remember a ZIP disk held more data than a case of 50 floppies (66), and a CD-ROM holds up to 7 ZIP disks.
I mean I got a "box"? of various elderscroll games on disk (I'm sure not a single disk, probably dvds) I bought on a deal on Amazon. I never opened it and lost track of it. Could that work for Nehrim?

Slickr, I got no idea why you're talking about CD's and floppies.
A free copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY ? I'm in . =)
I'm truly sorry, but I just checked and the keys seem to have expired already. :(

It said they were valid until the 5th, and I thought we'd still have at least the earlier hours of today, but no such luck. Wish I'd thought of trying this giveaway idea earlier. It was kind of a desperate move, tbh - I didnt really expect anyone to still be interested in the key as they were given away everywhere already and I thought by now almost everyone must own Oblivion. That makes it all the more embarrassing that I can't deliver on the promise of this thread, now that someone actually showed interest in it ... My sincerest apologies!

At least some well deserved attention was drawn to Nehrim. :)
I had no idea this existed, and now I'm hyped!
Thanks for pointing this out, Leroux! Since I have Oblivion already, I'll definitely play Nerhim!

Actually, it's a part of larger series by amateur studio SureAI:

https://sureai.net/

- Myar Aranath: Relict of Kallidar and Arktwend: The Forgotten Realm for Morrowind
- Nehrim: At Fate's Edge for Oblivion
- Enderal: Forgotten Stories for Skyrim

Like TES games, these mods have distinct stories, but all of them are taking place in the same setting.

P.S. I am developing a new mod launcher for OpenMW engine ( TES 3: Morrowind ). If anyone want to participate in testing, please write in that topic:

"Disk" usually means floppy disks, either 3.5" or 5.25". CDs and DVDs are "discs", even if they are about the size of a 5.25" disk and I was able to use an old 5.25" disk case I used in grade school to transport CD-ROMs I burned when I only had paper sleeves to protect them. Also people usually say "on CD-ROM/DVD-ROM" or just "On CD/DVD" instead of "on disc" when talking about that media. Hence my confusion.

Elder Scrolls 1 "Arena" was sold on diskettes and CD-ROM, I have no idea if there was a disk version of Daggerfall or if it was CD-ROM only. So when you said Oblivion came on "disk" my reaction was "How did it fit?" considering how big Oblivion is. Even using ZIP disks would still need over a dozen.
