Lifthrasil: That's nice. But somehow that game really isn't my cup of tea. It might work as a parody/homage/spoof of the Lucas Arts classics (for example the voodoo guy is a very obvious spoof of the Monkey Island voodoo lady), but why throw Lovecraft in? The comic art style might work for funny themes like DOTT or Sam'n'Max. Well, it would still be ugly, but it would fit the theme somehow. But with Cthulhu thrown in it doesn't work for me at all. I prefer my horror themed games to be dark (Prisoner of Ice, Shadow of the Comet, Alone in the Dark. The style of Beneath A Steel Sky would fit as well).
The first sentence from their Kickstarter page (emphasis added):
"A
comedy cosmic horror point and click adventure made in Transylvania. Lucas Arts style, Lovecraftian horrors,
general insanity!"
This isn't supposed to be a horror game, but a comedy game. I think the style fits perfectly (although I haven't seen any gameplay, so I don't know how well it works).
